Sleeve-It SD1 - Sold as Set of 5, Code Compliant Post Anchoring Solution, Used to Anchor Fence Posts and Hand Rails on top of Segmental Retaining Walls, Easy to Install

We love sleeve it. Such a great system. We install them as much as we can. Structurally strong and the engineers we work with love them too.

They can be installed near the wall which gives maximum space. The are easy to work with to pour your footing.But they are very big, which means a lot of digging.So try to plan ahead and put these in BEFORE your back fill the retaining wall.Once in, they disappear and leave you with a big fitting to mount your posts.

Unfortunately after waiting nearly two weeks, the package arrived damaged :(. 4 out of the 5 are luckily fine, but the 1 is unusable and I needed all 5. At over $700 Canadian, I’m very disappointed.

A nice product, and required by my architect, seems like it will be an easy install. My issue is with Amazon itself, the description says sold as a set of 5 but apparently the people pulling the order don’t realize this and only sent 1. When I called Amazon they told me they have had issues with this and all they could do was process a return. I ended up having to find another vendor which was more expensive but at least I could actually talk to someone

Installed 13 of these behind a 3.5-ft segmental block wall. Took a while a shovel the concrete in each anchor with the 4x4 filling up a lot of the top opening. I estimated it took about 200lbs concrete mix for each anchor (2.5 80lb bags or 3.5 60lb bags).I got these so I never have to touch the fence or wall for years and years, so time will tell if they hold up like they should. They are quite expensive, but if they hold strong then I imagine they’ll be worth it over the long term.
