Great treadmill, Great company
Long review but here’s the punchline: in this total techie age, I have never received such extraordinary customer service. Oh, and it's a great treadmill, too! The 80i "fold flat" is my third treadmill. My first treadmill was from Sears, it was pretty good and I used it about five years. My second was from a high end store here in Sacramento, specializing in fitness equipment. Nine years. Both served me well but the last one didn't fold and I'm in a small place now. So I did all of my usual research, looked at various fitness equipment websites, read reviews, ratings, pros, cons. Also checked Consumer Reports just to even everything out. I zeroed in on the 80i because it looked like the best combination of folding for storage plus solid build plus quality. I called 3G Cardio in mid to late December and spoke with Bryan. He was really nice and it was tempting to just buy the treadmill then. I had reservations about not being able to see/try before I bought, and even though there's a guarantee, I thought it would be better to buy locally. So I did my due diligence and went back to the fitness equipment store where I bought my last treadmill. They had something called a SpaceWalker, small, compact, but doesn't go above 4 mph and the belt (running surface) was barely three feet. Nice, but not what I was looking for. The store carries a few brands in stock, but even then they don't have every model on the floor to try before you buy. Went back to the computer, Went back to the store, Spoke with Bryan at 3G Cardio some more, and decided to go for it. Did not realize that when Amazon offers "white glove" shipping for an extra charge, it doesn't use the same company that ships the treadmill. The 80i comes fully assembled so all I needed was someone (or two people, really) to carry the treadmill up a big flight of stairs to my second floor flat. The shipping company wouldn't do it. The "white glove" company wouldn't do it. I'm not sure how many times I spoke with Bryan but I am so grateful for what 3G Cardio did. They intervened, arranged for a company they use for "white glove" service to pick up the treadmill from the shipping company and then bring it to my house. And up that big flight of stairs. It does come fully assembled but Richard and Dominick went through everything with me, tested all the functions (incline, speed, ran the motor awhile to make sure there were no funny sounds, etc.). By the time they left, I was able to test the machine out myself and the deck was really comfortable. Probably my biggest worry about buying from a company that doesn't have a tester. The 80i has a really good guarantee, but still, that was the ultimate test. I’ve been using the treadmill for about a week and it’s great!!!!

Unique and well-made treadmill!
After careful research, this was the only treadmill made today that hits a bunch of sweet spots for us: folds flat to the ground (not just folding up like a Murphy bed); continuous duty motor (so you don't have to give it a rest every other hour); and speeds suitable for running. For a device satisfying all those requirements, I would have understood if it were loud, creaky, or awkward, but instead it's great in all those respects. Quieter than our old treadmill, solidly constructed, and with lots of clever design elements (like toggles on either arm for easily adjusting speed and incline). It's not obvious from the product images, but the control panel is a great surface for placing a laptop or tablet. Not once has a control button been accidentally hit by my laptop. As stated in other reviews, the treadmill came fully assembled. Removing the packaging was an easy job for two, but probably would have been harder for a person alone. We definitely would have needed assistance if we wanted the treadmill moved up or down a flight of stairs.I'm shocked that this treadmill is barely mentioned by review sites. For people like us living in a small apartment, this is by leaps and bounds the best available treadmill.

Good value, but has some issues
This is my first home treadmill.PROSFor the price, it's a nice treadmill. I have around 800 miles on it over 12 months time. it still operates very well with no hint of breaking.Cushioning is good; I haven't had any joint issues.Screen is sufficient for what it is. I have a TV set up behind it.It's compact. I struggled a little to get it inside the house meaning that a full size treadmill would have been really difficult to fit through a normal door frame.Despite it being compact, I never felt like the track was too narrow.I can move it around by myself because of the folding function and wheels.CONSThe time display shows 4 digits. That means if you run over 100 minutes, it goes back to 00:00. I think it should show 5 digits (000:00).The distance display shows 3 digits. I think it should show 4 so we can see hundredths of a mile (00.00).Incline is in "levels" not %. This is not standard and confusing. I set to incline of 2 to get ~1% incline. The heart rate monitor doesn't seem to read correctly. It's way off compared to my chest monitor. This is the most glaring/potentially dangerous issue. For some reason, the upper right side of the track has a soft spot. When I land hard on it, it buckles a bit and throws me off balance.

Very happy, and thinner
This treadmill has been, so far (after a month of two adults using it every other day) worked very well and we were very happy with the craftmanship. The unit has buttons on the handles for incline and speed control, as well as a "flywheel" on the console to quickly change speed without needing a .1mph button press. The only issue my wife and I had was a bit of squeaking that occurred after a week as we were running, which we were able to isolate to a hinge on the underside of the unit that just needed a minor spritz of WD40. (DO NOT USE WD40 ON THE TREADMILL ITSELF, that needs a different type of oil).Came with belt lubricant and tools for belt adjustments, and the instruction manual was very comprehensive, including an exploded view of the unit in case you need to order a specific part.Power cord can be removed from the unit completely, and the belt can fold up so you can vacuum underneath it. It folds down to 9'' tall, so it can be hidden under some taller furniture if needed (though most beds might not have that type of clearance), and can be moved fairly easily around when lifted onto its' wheels. My wife and I are very happy with this purchase, while its' something that we expect to not need to purchase another for a while, if ever, we would recommend this product.
