The best
Bought smaller capacity 8 years ago still in good condition, this is my second bag and even more impressed with the build quality, weight and practicality.

Possibly faulty. Less than a years old, hasn’t managed to hold as a general day bag before breaking.
In the reserves was hoping to use this for trainings away or deployment. Purchased just under a year ago, currently has only been used as a gym/day bag with roughly 5kg in at a time. Unfortunately the material/stitching by the zips has broken. Extremely disappointed with this knowing the price tag isn’t exactly cheap and the brand is highly rated especially within the military and it hasn’t even been used to its full ability. If this didn’t happen would give it a higher review however hasn’t even been tested to its best ability. Wouldn’t recommend this bag. Hoping it’s only a faulty one and that the company could replace this.

Review after 2yrs ownership (military)
I've owned the CamelBak Sparta for roughly two years now, military user.Pros:- Perfect size daysack for warm kit, wet kit, 24hr ORP, space ammunition, etc.- Hydration is excellent.Cons:- Daysack severely restricts head movement when in the prone position; the hardened top edge of the daysack will push your helmet over your eyes when firing. This is the main downside and the reason I no longer use this daysack for tactical stuff.- Hydration bladder cannot be easily removed and refitted while daysack is full, PITA when in a rush.- Front small pocket (vertical zip) is awkward to access, it's a shame they didn't instead use a horizontal zip as per the new Motherlode.- Durability isn't great, one of my internal mesh pockets has come away at the bottom stitching; disappointing at this premium price point.- It's a shame there is no protected laptop pocket; when I use this for office stuff my laptop can take a battering.Overall an OK daysack, but not perfect for tactical work, nor for in the office. Disappointing quality at this price point. Honestly, the old Motherlode is a better bag.
