Very vibrant
I got a container to do the bottom/underside of my hair in red, yellow, and purple. I didn't even lift my natural colour to white or platinum blonde, but this is intense. It's slightly brighter than I expected, but it works. I left this on for around half an hour and in future will probably change the amount of time I leave it on for (or lighten my hair less); it turned out to be around the same intensity as the sunshine yellow I left on for an hour.

It works, it's wonderful.
Call me old school, but Manic Panic is OG. This is the original punky hair dye going way back. I've tried many many brands over the years, and sure some shades of other brands might be louder or last just a little longer, but I always go back to Manic Panic. Classic hair dye with a cause, women-owned, vegan, they even donate sales to various organizations. You can't go wrong with Magic Panic.

HORRIBLE RED DYE!!!
I've been doing my own hair for about 12 years now and I always wanted a fire red. So I was looking through the colors and came across "Wildfire" and it was just beautiful. The best vibrant red I could go for. I used manic panic before when I did green and it turned out great. So I thought the same would happen with the red BUT WRONG!!! It was horrible, I was crying in my bathroom. Now I have to fix the damage and horrible colors this left in my hair!!

Not the color you think.
I bought this hoping it would be a shock fire of scarlet, as the promo photos and such show! But be careful! This looked red in the bottle, but once I applied it it was a vibrant shock of orange! It has some subtle red undertones in the darker segments, but this will end up looking more orange the red! I do enjoy the color regardless, though, as it applied easily, even though it fades a bit quicker then I would like. It made for a good color combo with a black hair dye, though!

Unprocessed hair - Wildfire Red
I've never colored my hair. It is long and a color I like so I guess I got lucky with hair. I've always been afraid to mess it up..my hair isn't a color I could just dye back if I didn't like it. I have medium brown hair with a lot of blonde and red, and I wanted to boost the red. I started looking at color depositing shampoos, but concluded a semi permanent dye might be better. I saw the Manic Panic pictures of black hair tinted blue so I thought I'd give it a try. The pictures here are taken the day after my strand test on unprocessed hair (no bleach or whatever - I don't even know what the words are haha). The honey/amber color is my natural hair and the pink/red is Manic Panic Wildfire Red. I did two strands, one for 2 hours and one overnight after heating with a straightener - no difference. So at least for me, I got maximum initial coloring after 2 hours. As some other reviews mentioned, the lighter ends (3rd picture) took more color, but on my hair it did pretty well in the middle also (1st picture). I probably won't do any more with Wildfire Red because it came out a little more pink than I wanted. I ordered Psychedelic Sunset, and I'll repeat this process with that. Now that I know it does what I want, my next concern is that it actually washes out completely and that my hair looks as it did before. I'll update this post when I have an answer to that! Also - a lot of comments on how messy it is. At least with the strand test I had no issues. I used nitrile gloves and wrapped the pieces with saran wrap that I held in place with small rubber hair bands. Rinsed in the stainless steel kitchen sink and (since they were just strands) blotted dry with paper towels. No pillowcase issues, didn't breach the gloves, didn't stain my clothes etc. Not sure what will happen when I wash it the first time, haha!

Wild Fire is NOT Red
I was skeptical that it wasnt the intended color as soon as I opened the product. I do enjoy the it and have gotten many compliments on my hair, I was just a little bummed. So just a heads up, wild fire is VERY orange

It's really messy
The review is for wildfire color particular. I bought different colors of this brand and they were ok. The wildfire color is really like a wildfire, no pink no orange, exactly truly red. But! It leaks very badly from hair. Towels, pillow, even hands touching wet hair.

Worth the Hype!
Everyone raves about this brand. I wasn't sure but I'm always up to try new things so I picked the color closest to what I thought I wanted and dove in. It's SO nice. The coverage is great, very thick and easy to apply. It rinses really well from the skin. I usually apply coconut oil to my face and ears but some hit my shoulders and it washed off easily. The color is gorgeous. I failed at the actual bleaching part so my hair is about 6 different colors but all of them are very pretty shades of red. Can't wait to use it again but, you know, correctly!

Your pre-lightened hair starts turning brassy yellow as the color fades.

its a very good product, but i must say it stained my hair more than any other dye i tried, so be very careful when using it, it only lasted one wash tho !
