Bandaï Tamagotchi P's Dream Coffret Set (Japan Import)

Although it said it would get here within a month the package actually arrived within 2 weeks (you could imagine my surprise when I came home to my Tama P in the mail!) It's in Japanese but the menus are doable. I love it! If I could I would give it more stars but I can't!

I've been playing and collecting tamagotchis ever since their first appearance in the US in the 90s. This tama is definitely a must for any fan or collector. The shell design on the P is the most beautiful of all tamagotchi designs in my opinion. It feels well in the hand, and the glittery faux stones sparkly with the light. It is must prettier in person.What makes this tamagotchi unique is the 17 (sold separately, of course) pierces that you can attach to enhance play. This set comes with one pierce, and it is easy to see how much more enjoyable the game is with a few of the pierces in your tamagotchi arsenal. Removing the pierce is rather difficult, and I worry about weakening the ports inside from jiggling it back and forth to remove it. Another con is that the pierces themselves can get quite pricey, almost as much as a tamagotchi P itself. Playing with just one pierce, I found this tamagotchi dull as opposed to it older version, the IDL.Depending on which pierce(s) you own, making money on this tamagotchi is rather hard and it will take a long time before you can buy things you need to fulfill puzzle symbols. It comes with two pre-installed games and one of the games is rather long. There are pets on the P, but they just don't have the same appeal as the IDL. I know there is gardening on this tama, but I haven't uncovered any tools in which to do so.This as well as all other color tamagotchis (besides a version of the iDL) are in Japanese. There are plenty of guides online for using Japanese tamagotchis, so do not let the language veer you away from purchasing a great tamagotchi.Note: I did NOT receive this product for free or a discount. My 7yr daughter likes it. Even if in japanese. I got this for her bday. I got it together with the royal key. We also have the ID L but in english.

Its adorable, but its all in japanese so be warned before you purchase it. There are some english patches you can get offline, but I did not do that. I just navigated through and did some googling when I couldn't figure something out.

This piece is wonderful! I love the colors and the way it sparkles. If you're curious, Coffret means 'box'
