My New Favorite Sardines
I was having difficulty finding the King Oscar sardines I normally buy when a friend recommended Season brand. I'm glad because I like these much better than any brand I've tried. Lately I've been ordering the 'in water' variety as an even healthier option and they're still a very tasty and a thick, dense fish. A great price for such high quality sardines. Sticking with Season from here on out.

Delicious! Best of the best
I was hesitant to try a new brand of sardines. I’ve always enjoyed King Oscar, but they are very expensive per serving. I purchased these in water and was very surprised at how good they are. I mean really good. Fresh, not fishy tasting. I also appreciate that these have bones in them unlike the King Oscar ones. And the bones are barely noticeable. The sardines are noticeably larger than the ones from King Oscar. at first, I thought that would make them not taste as good, but I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed them. The tin opens very easily. I generally eat these over a little bit of rice and add some olive oil. Yummy! Highly recommend.

You too can enjoy sardines!
I like these sardines because they are packed in water and not seed oils. I add my own olive oil once opened. Also, and very key is that these little nutritional power houses have the bones still in. You don't even notice them. They have been integral to doing my sardine fasting protocol. Thankfully, the taste is much better than their fishy smell!

Glad I chose these sardines in extra virgin olive oil
I can taste extra virgin olive oil and this brand does not disappoint. Plus, each package I've opened and consumed so far is filled with VERY LARGE individual sardines, sometimes just two big ones. No bits and pieces like most cheap sardines have. Skin and bones are intact and that's what I love about these. There is flavor and nutrients you don't get with sardines that are pre-skinned and deboned. I bought a whole bunch of cans and look forward to putting them on many salads.

Please be careful….
I bought three dozen of these because I read online, whether true or not I don’t know, that this brand tested lower in arsenic than others. I can understand that with less salt some folks find them bland but that doesn’t bother me. I don’t think I have ever opened a can with such a rusty red packing liquid; but I can drain and look past that with blind faith that it is safe. But the can is packed with scales both large and small. I mean enough to clog the kitchen sink strainer with them while trying to wash off. There really isn’t any reason for them to process so negligently. I have bought a “French” brand from Amazon with scales, but not as many, that were cheaper and less than a quarter of sodium( 41mg vs 170mg ). And a local supermarket find also product of Morocco that is also lower in salt ( 90mg vs 170mg ). Also in same price point as these and also some scales found but again not as many as these. Obviously there are no returns and I am out a substantial amount of money. I really wanted to like these and was persuaded by some “glowing” reviews on these… enough to try even though I read there might be some scales. Never could I have imagined that there would be this many allowed to be canned short of someone performing a bad prank. Sadly, while the fish are large and pretty firm trying to rinse, even gently washes the loosely attached skin right off with them loosing some of the best and most nutritious parts. Please make up your own mind but be advised and if you do decide to take a chance, buy a small amount that you won’t regret spending on.

Beautiful, tasty, large sized sardines. These can't be compared with the store bought ones.
