For me, this did not live up to its claims
As a person who has used voice recognition for the past 30 years I have been on the look-out for something that would allow me to dictate in a noisy environment such as an office. Unfortunately, for me this did not live up to its claims. I tried using a Andrea usb adapter to make a voice profile with Dragon Naturally Speaking but it did not recognise any input so I was unable to create a voice profile for this. The usb adapter works with one of my current headsets so I know there is no fault with the usb adapter. I thought this was finally going to be the solution I have been waiting for, but sadly it was not so I had to return it.

As a remote worker I sometimes want to work from otherwise noisy places like Starbucks and Panera. The trouble I ran into is that most mics would pickup the background noise along with my voice and I would be freely leaking potentially sensitive information. This mic solves both issues elegantly. I can even use this mic in an airport and the other participants in Zoom won't know unless I tell them. I can also use this as a passenger in a car and the driver can't hear me. It's simply a must-have for anyone who needs to participate in professional meetings while on the go. There is a hardware gain adjustment you can make to tailor the mic pickup to your natural speaking volume. This is one of like 4 ways this product tries to prevent background noise from getting picked up. The others include mics tailored to the human vocal range and a sound-proofed case. Another interesting feature this product has is a speaker in the mic. I haven't been able to find much info about it but I've been using it to pipe white or pink noise through the mic's speaker at a very low volume to introduce some artificial background noise. Raising the noise floor like this means it's even harder for background noise to make its way into the mic pickup. The only drawback to this product I've found is the hand's-free solution. It's not very travel-friendly so I've had to improvise a custom solution.

Been using a Martel mini mask for almost a year. I’ve used this twice and my software is picking up voice recognition so much better. Wish I would have started with this mask.l and not wasted money on the other.

I really like that the product does not allow sound in, but I was surprised at the poor quality of audio. all recordings are eq'd up a little in the highs to make the voice more legible to the listener, but their is almost no low end. very hollow sounding. But it does block out all outside noise and it blocks out sound coming out better than I thought.

I am new to voice reporting and am just a student at this time. I have not learned how to use it with any sort of voice reporting software yet, it works great using the dictation feature in Microsoft Word.

I’ve had it for 8 months. I have only used it at one desk - so no traveling with it or tossing it around. It has already broke. The cord that goes from the mask to the computer is loose and causes dictating to not drop. Really, really disappointed.
