Excellent quality of product. Met expectations as noted by seller.

Expensive but beautiful
It doesn't open automatically when the music plays. It's smaller than expected.

A beautiful piece, well worth the price
It's truly exquisite. A beautiful piece, well worth the price. The Bradford Exchange continues to shine, especially with their holiday items. I'm certain my wife will love it come Christmas morning, along with the other items I've bought through Amazon and the Bradford Exchange.

Not worth the price do not buy! Scam purchase
I wish I read reviews. It’s so much more cheaper looking than advertised. The quality of paint is terrible. For instance. Clara’s feet are not completely painted, edges of her dress are not completely painted the gold color. Also, the paint was scratched off in certain spots. Clara does not sit evenly to see when egg is open. The egg is hard to open and feels like it may break. She does not twirl when music plays which I think is really cheap. Doesn’t dazzle like picture and just seems cheaply made. Very disappointed and will be returning. The song it plays does not even sound good! Terrible purchase!

Music and gems disappoint.
I couldn't wait to receive my egg, and when it finally arrived today, I was somewhat disappointed. The egg itself is beautiful, but the gems are not "sparkly", they are dull. Clara doesn't spin, which would have been nice but is really no big deal. My biggest disappointment is the music. For what the egg cost, I was hoping the music would sound like it was in an expensive music box. It sounds really cheap. If I didn't know it was the music from the Nutcracker, well, it just doesn't sound like it. It plays then stops, and plays and stops. It is not continuous and smooth. Like I said, the egg is beautiful, and worth the money, but the music and the "sparkly gems" are not worth the money. I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased it, I usually do, but I fell in love with the picture and the description sounded really nice. Had I read them, I don't think I would have purchased it. I am going to keep it, but it would have been super nice if the music sounded like it was the real music and the gems would have sparkled.

Okay - I guess
I ordered this as a Christmas present for my Russian girlfriend and was pleased with the quality of the painting of the egg itself. The figurine was a little clunky looking and really did not impress, although it was ok... The music was tinny and sounded cheap. The brochure with the product goes to great pains to mention Russia this and Russia that in an attempt to implicitly suggest that the egg was made in the Russia town of Palekh without actually "saying" that it was. The Styrofoam packing says "Made in China" bigger than day - so which one is it? Was the egg made in Russia and the packaging in China? I doubt it - probably both were made in China. I really detest this type of misleading advertising and documentation - it really feels like I have been cheated. Oh, the ballerina does NOT twirl with the music - just so you know. All in all the egg is okay - but not at the advertised price. This should be a product you pay no more than 10 dollars for - not almost 50.

Clara egg musical was beautiful but unfortunately the Galatian was not turning (dancing?) around (swivelling) with the music as advertised… the process for return and for refund was OK
