Great Product
Product was perfect. It came with everything I needed in a small box. I Installed the product the same day it arrived and now my dryer is fixed. I had to watch YouTube University on how to install the product this had everything I needed. The dryer no longer screeches and runs perfectly. I would definitely buy this product again. The only small problem I had was the belt. The belt on this product is not for the Extra Large Drum on a Frigidaire Dryer. I was able to use the same belt so to me it was not a big deal.

Reuse the old bearing assembly screws, new ones too soft. Belt too short for Kenmore 417.83042201 !
Why is the belt too short for a Kenmore 417.83042201? The belt is so tight, we cannot stretch it over motor shaft, and that’s w/o the idler pulley! I have to reuse my old belt, and if I had known this belt would be too short. I would not have paid more for the kit with the replacement belt. Don't use the new soft zinc alloy screws (qty 2) on the back mount bracket. They are too soft for the job, and one of ours stripped with little effort. These are too important to be bad quality screws, so save your old ones and reuse those two! The threading is different, but the old ones actually have more of a machine screw narrow thread, whereas the new ones are more like wood screws thread. Here's a pic of the too short belt. What a bummer! I'd like to get refunded partially for that belt not fitting. The seller said this kit would work for my model when I asked in the Q&A section. My last picture shows the factory supplied belt next to the short new one from this kit. You can see how I can actually make use of the idler pulley with the old belt. The new one won't even stretch over the motor shaft. Update: After using the new bearing and bearing mount for a while, I can't say that the friction is much reduced over the old squeaky set, but at least there's no more squeaky noise. I still hear the sandpapery hiss of the drums felt strip rubbing against the front panel, so maybe that is a great source of friction. It did look somewhat compressed and not fluffy as felt should. Of course, this felt strip is meant to be more robust felt, but you can tell the loft isn't as high as it was when new. When I had the dryer open, I spent some time picking off some darker colored accumulated gunk from the felt strip, and that probably helped. I wonder if this would be worth lubricating with something like a dry lube spray.. perhaps Teflon WD-40? Or if a felt strip replacement does exist, that would be worth looking into. Anyway, the noise from the felt strip on the front lip of the drum, during operation, is like a constant breathy exhale of the lungs, an airy noise that definitely has increased over time. This dryer is from 2003, and I remember it being very quiet back then. I think this part is definitely worth replacing, as it is the only thing that holds the drum up (other than the bearing mount), and it absolutely puts a load on the motor and belt. Im sure it would save some electricity and also prevent some extra heat from the motor by being renewed. I'll look into it and report back. BTW, the seller agreed on a refund of the value of the belt since it was not compatible with my model as promised. I hope they figure out the correct belt size.

Good value for all you get. I didn't use the drum belt but everything else worked well.

Everything was great except for the bar that holds the man bearing onto the drum. It stripped easily. Good thing the old one was heavier duty so I was able to re-use it with the old screws. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

This product is bit expensive in Canada compared to the same one sold I the US. The listing didn’t mention Frigidaire so I’m letting you know it worked for my 2006 front load machine. The installation was fairly easy took about an hour. Make sure you use the same screws that comes with it and avoid using old screws that come with the old dryer. The dryer was full of lint and I used this opportunity to clean it all out. Overall a great quality product. Hopefully I can get another 5 years or more lol!

Fixed my dryer that I almost threw out before having a good look at it to realize it could be fixed so cheap and easy. Dryer is a kenmore from mid 2000s
