I tend to run warm and always need fans nearby, and this one is perfect for a desk. It looks great, operates quietly, and pushes an impressive amount of air for its small blade size. However, it’s designed for personal use, so you’ll need to keep it fairly close to feel the airflow. I keep mine about 18 inches away on my desk, and it works perfectly in that setup. The design prevents it from blowing document on my desk. Keep in mind that this fan won’t cool a room, other people —it’s really a "personal" fan. If you’re looking for something to use next to a stationary bike or to cool multiple people, this isn’t the right choice. But for desk use in a small area where the fan is no more than two feet away, it’s excellent. There are two speed settings. The low setting is almost silent but doesn’t produce much airflow unless you’re extremely close (12 inches or closer). The high setting is much more effective for desk use. Bonus points for the stylish retro green color—I love it!

I have two of these. The color is true. The fan is pretty powerful for its size. I use one at work and one at home. it comes preassembled and you can just plug it in. Its compact and easy to move.

I love the aqua color and it's compact for small spaces. I agree with other reviewers that the low setting gives a slight breeze and is quiet; however, the high setting is noisy. So, it shouldn't be described as whisper quiet since that doesn't apply to both settings. I got this to have a quiet, gentle breeze while sleeping when it's hot (we don't have air conditioning). The huge fan we use is great during the day, but too much wind and too loud at night. I'm also using it now during the day as a supplement to the large fan. Overall, a good purchase.

Quiet, efficient and a nice design

I have a Vornado V8, which I really love. So, when I found the need for a more compact, smaller fan, this V6 model seemed like a no-brainer. I also liked the fact that this model was offered in all kinds of nifty colors. So I ordered it in the Blue Bliss, which turned out to be a perfect mach for my bedspread. I was a little surprised at just how small this model was, I expected it to be a little larger. I love the design of these Flippi fans, they are very sleek, attractive and I like the fact that they can be swiveled vertically. I loved the size, I loved the color and I loved how quiet it was on "low." Unfortunately, that's where the love ended. On low I found that the air flow was almost imperceptible. If I was more than a couple feet away, I felt nothing. I had purchased it to keep on a nightstand to blow across the bed. When I tried it on "high", I was surprised at how noisy it was, with a loud rushing sound and noisy rattling. There was no way we could sleep with this running, so it's going back. I'm hoping ours was just defective, but based on the large amount of used ones being offered in each color at a discount by Amazon Warehouse, I'm suspecting that it may be a design flaw in these V6 models. My much larger V8 moves a lot of air and does not rattle like this one. All in all, although I loved the design and features of this model fan, the functionality for our purpose was severely lacking. I would highly recommend checking out the larger V8 model if you are looking for effective air flow. If you want something very quiet. and will have it sitting on a desk blowing right into your face, then this one on set on "low" may be for you. Also, perhaps others won't have the same noisy rattle on "high" that ours did. I rely heavily on customer reviews when I go to purchase an item, and I know others do, as well. I hope you have found the information I have provided to be helpful.

Surprisingly large output for a very small fan. Perfect for the side of my narrow bathroom sink. Used to use one of these at work, as well. Any place where you need something small but effective, this is your choice.

Excellent little desk fan. Great to create some air circulation or help with those hot months.

Cute and small fan. Easily fits on a desktop/countertop without issue. I needed a more powerful one but small enough to put on top of my desk for my daughter's side of the bedroom and this was waaaay too weak to do anything but blow a bit of air. Wasn't noisy but did have the fan "white noise" sound which I didnt mind. Lightweight but a bit flimsy for using to cool down a bedroom. Good for office/desk use if you want something small and personal. Don't need Don't get if you want it to cool down in a bedroom, it would be a waste of money.
