Skechers USA Men's Olvero Fisherman Sandal

Update June 2017: I bought two more pair of these sandals for my husband just in case they are discontinued. We tried Sketchers' new model of the fisherman sandal with the hard toe and it was not comfortable so we returned it. The leather over the big toe area in the Olvero sandal is soft and flexible which is critical for my husband's comfort.This is the second pair of these sandals which I bought for my husband. My husband had a crossed over second toe and bunions on both sides of his feet causing pain on the ball of his foot. Before his foot surgery, this was the only shoe he could wear and he cut out the toe piece to accommodate his foot. After his surgery, I bought a new pair and this is still the only shoe he can wear for extended periods of time. I asked him to describe the shoe and he said, "Perfect. Absolutely Perfect."When his toes stop being numb, we'll look at new shoes for dress, casual and the beach. But, for now, these are fantastic and super comfortable.

I like the way these sandals fit, I like the way they look, I like the way they feel when I'm wearing them. My only "but" is that the soles of my feet get hot and stay that way while I'm wearing them. If the heat doesn't subside as they break in, I will glue in some Dr. Scholl's type insoles to see if that will alleviate the issue. Otherwise, I'm very happy with them.

Very comfortable, you can walk in these all day, and they're relaxed fit so they're a little on the big side, which just adds to the comfort. The shoe also covers your foot enough to give you adequate sun protection, while still leaving plenty of ventilation.

Essential for me is that sandals have a covered front toe and that they have both an upper and a rear adjustment. If so, a wide variety of sizes differences is acceptable. Too many sandals do not have a rear adjustment. I like these. They fit well and have the adjustments I require

Sizes run wide. Comfortable, but the fisherman style is a bit "chunky" for my taste.

Sandals proved to be very comfortable and ideal for hikes / long walks however after only two weeks of usage, the metal clasp holding the velcro strap broke making the sandals unusable. not sure what they chose to use but the metal was very brittle. Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

I based my choice of size off of reviews. I wear a 9.5 4E, and ordered a 9. They fit me well with plenty of room in the toe box. They are a chunky sandal as represented in the photo. Very comfortable.

Overall, a very comfortable fit. The two velcro straps on each sandal make for easy-on, easy-off. I've walked many miles this past summer & enjoy the light weight as well. When these eventually wear out, I will definitely by again. Cheers!
