Informative and well written
Wonderful book. Very informative. All the books in this series (including "Off to states of India") are very well written and designed. Was easy for my 7 yr old daughter to read by herself. Kids will love it

A wonderful Introduction to Indian Monuments
The media could not be loaded. "Monuments of India" is a fantastic book that beautifully captures the rich history and architectural grandeur of India. As a parent, I'm always looking for resources that can help my son connect with his heritage, and this book has been a wonderful addition to our collection. What I love most about this book is that it doesn't just present a dry list of monuments. Instead, it delves into the stories behind these magnificent structures, bringing them to life for young readers. My son was fascinated to learn about the love story behind the Taj Mahal, the military might of the Red Fort, and the intricate carvings of the Khajuraho temples.

Under-representation of South Indian monuments. Photographs overall could have been better.
Insufficient coverage of South Indian monuments, even for those covered, many have very poorly selected photos. For many of the monuments in general, photos should have been better. The write-ups for all the monuments are very informative and precise, but the accompanying photos for many are not good enough, and the weightage distribution should have been more balanced between monuments of the north and south.

Great for 7 -8 year olds
It's child friendly writing and information is loved by my son. He also likes to solve the puzzles in the books. I highly recommend this whole series for class 4 children. History and country introduced with fun and ease.

Perfect for kids who love to see places.
Since our visit to Rajasthan, Tia has become quite inquisitive in finding out the names of famous places & monuments of India! Her questions range from "Mumma, where is Taj Mahal" to "When will we go & visit Red Fort". This book 'Monuments of India' had helped me calm her inquisitiveness to a greater extent. The book is filled with colorful real pictures of the Monuments from all over India and a lot of useful information about them. Not only information but every page has questions, riddles or an activity that the child can finish after reading about a particular monument. This book is perfect if you have a child who loves to know about places and history related to them. Although it is meant for 8+ year old kids, in my opinion, if you are reading aloud to your child, this book serves the purpose. Even for kids younger than 8years, the pictures are attractive enough to draw them towards picking up the book and learning something from it.
