As many reviewers have pointed out, these towel are “thin and scratchy” but I honestly find that to be their biggest selling point. Traditional terry cloth towels can be slow to absorb, leave lint on the skin, and take forever to dry. I personally love the “scrubby” feeling I get drying my skin with these towel, like a mini exfoliating massage. It leaves me feeling cleaner and fresher than drying off with a terry cloth towel. They also dry quickly. They are a large bath sheet size. If you’re someone who generally finds normal bath towels gap or don’t wrap all the way around you, you’ll be pleased by how large these are, more like a beach towel. But because of how thing they are, they take up less space than a normal bath towel in my linen closet. The wash instructions say gentle cycle, but I’ve been washing these for years on normal in hot water with an oxygen bleach and they’re no worse for the wear.

I washed them when they arrived hung them out side to dry. Frist time I used one it wasn't as soft as I thought but they told me they would soften with use very happy

Pretty happy with this purchase. I’ve been on the hunt for thin beach towels because carrying multiple, bulky, you-can-never-fit-them-all-in-one-bag beach towels is one of my greatest pet peeves.I’ve used it probably half a dozen times since purchasing. All for use at the pool, both at home and on vacation. It’s thicker than I expected it to be, but that’s not a bad thing. The material feels nice and thick and of quality; not bulky. It’s still crazy thin and light. I’ve used it both to cover up and to wrap around me when I’m out of the water. I can’t speak to absorbency because I haven’t paid attention to that aspect. But as a pool/beach towel, I’d highly recommend it to those looking. Keeps you warm in the shade when you’re dripping wet. Oh, and it is big! Plenty long and wide enough to wrap around you and then some. I want to buy several more to keep in our linen closet as our go-to pool towels. And maybe even hang a few up in our guest bathroom for visitors.

Wish it were a little softer, but the length of this is perfect for the beach, and it's thin enough to throw in a bag and commute to the sea. Love how fast-drying it is.

[Update]I got my first of these towels as for Vine review but I did buy several more. My glowing review applies only to the smaller yellow towel and the pink and blue with "Beach" in the color name. THOSE are sturdier and better than the other, thinner colors. Very disappointed that they are all different.=============When I first opened the package, I thought "this can't possibly replace a regular bath towel." But what it lacks in thickness it makes up for in absorbency.My biggest complaint about so-called thirsty towels is that they just push the water around, leaving you colder and wetter. This one sucked up the water very quickly, and dried quickly.The tassels on the end make it look more like a decorative throw, but that's a minor point. Going to order a few more to see how much room I can save it my linen closet! They are so thin I think I can gain back a lot of shelf space!

This product feels a bit like drying off with a paper towel, except for those are more absorbent! I was disappointed in how quick this towel takes to dry. The only good thing is it takes up half the room in my beach bag compared to other towels.

If you have fond memories of a drab, thin and scratchy hospital blanket this towel is for you. It gave my wife a good laugh that I picked this out.

I don't write reviews often and certainly not until I've used the product. I made this purchase just before I left for two weeks in the Holy Land. I used it as a blanket and shawl on the plane, a pillow on the bus, and as a skirt when we arrived at a church that hadn't been on the day's itinerary and I needed to have more modest covering than my shorts. This was one of the best travel products I purchased and I'm looking forward to traveling with it to many more places. (Oh, and other reviewers were right, it needs to be washed before it's first use - it became much softer after it's first wash.)
