If you're in replacing the lead frame on your 6R80 transmission, do yourself a favor and replace this valve body seal while you're at it. Motorcraft may cost a little bit more than aftermarket, but at least you know the materials and tolerances will be correct.

Ford 6R80 transmission. Replaced the control assembly because I needed a new transmission connector unit (bad output shaft speed sensor), but they don't sell the standalone connector unit anymore. Anyway while you've got the valve body out, put a new one of these in to save a headache down the road. OEM fitment, works great 👍

Worked well

Not a ford oem part, I am praying it works. That was my original post. After installing the part and ordered another for another vehicle, I found that ford used continental parts in the transmission from the factory. I have 10,000 miles on my truck using this part with no issues. And the mustang I put it in has 5k with no issues. It’s a good part and definitely worth the money.

This was a perfect replacement for my 2017 F150 with the 6 speed auto transmission. This is a mandatory part to replace if you are doing the lead frame replacement.
