Soft flexible feel to the cable, not like the hard plastic cheap stuff. Nice reusable ziplock storage bag. Haven't connected it up yet, just a great initial impression.

This connector is well made with plated pins and strain relief. I used an ohmeter to check the connectivity between each pin I needed and the stripped wire ends to be sure I got the correct connections. Stripping more insulation and soldering to the wires was easy. It's a nice connector for hooking up to my car... Fit the OBD2 plug securely. An upgrade and much better than the individual wires I was using before. Glad I bought it.

Wire colors are not as shown in the picture on Amazon and *no* schematic came with the device. *Check your wiring with a meter before plugging in.* Some pins stick out further than others but they seem to work OK.

Color key is incorrect. Wire gauge is extremely small. Two leads didn't have continuity with obd connector so it wouldn't function. Extremely low quality and not a value for the money. Look elsewhere.

This product comes in a plastic bag but without any additional documentation. Also, the bag is labeled "USB OBD adapter" even though it is a pigtail OBD adapter. There is a picture in the product listing for which wires go to which pins. Unfortunately, the cable is not wired to match reality. For example, green/white is indicated as pin 16 (power) but is actually wired to pin 14. Thus, you will have to painstakingly measure the pinout of each wire yourself, and label them yourself. This is a waste of time for those who realize they need to do it, and could damage other equipment for those who trust the documentation and wire 12V straight into the wrong part of their stuff.

Bought this to put a trickle charger on our Rivian to reduce vampire drain. Wire colors follow the OBD2 protocol. I suggest wiring in a 3 amp fuse.

The PIN diagram in the this listing is completely wrong! I used a multimeter to trace each wire and here is what I found, although yours may be different. 1 - brown 2 - brown/white 3 - purple 4 - orange 5 - light blue 6 - green 7 - black 8 - black/white 9 - red/white 10 - white 11 - yellow 12 - pink 13 - gray 14 - green/white 15 - blue 16 - red

This is absolute garbage. The pinout wires are incorrectly colored on this site. DO NOT RELY ON THE COLORS MENTIONED HERE! Test with a multimeter to ensure the actual pin - wire color. Additionally - there is no pinout sheet in the product package - so you have to refer back to this site - which is WRONG! Cable likely works (I haven't tested it - as I've spent the last 30mins noting which pin goes to which color wire) but what a dogs breakfast of misinformation. Total time waster.
