Finicky but runs quiet when well tuned
Please note that my criticisms may not necessarily be a defect in the product but perhaps a configuration issue.I attempted to equip my BIGTREETECH SKR v1.3 with four of these drivers, with Marlin 2.0 set to 1/256 microstepping and UART mode, and immediately ran into trouble on the first print job - the Z axis let out a screech and stopped running.Since I noticed both Z and E0 had shut down I swapped those back to the A4988 drivers that came with my printer. Things seemed to run well until I got to the second layer of a complex part, when the X axis shut down. At this point I decided maybe 1/256 was freezing up my board, so I switched over to 1/64 microstepping, which worked.Once I got things working my X and Y steppers were almost completely silent, to the point where I cannot even hear my 3D printer in the other room anymore.Likely what happened was that while a 32-bit board is more powerful than an 8-bit board, it might still have trouble keeping up with finer microstepping and lose communication with the drivers.
