Top substitute for gin
Really good substitute for gin/vodka in mixed drinks. Good botanicals with the savoury flavours one might expect from spirits, which make no alcohol cocktails taste authentic. Also not bad alone with ice!

Delicious as always
Love the other Pentire products so tried this and it’s just as good! Perfect treat for drinkers and non drinkers.

Non alcoholic treat
My first non alcoholic spirit , nice refreshing drink with tonic ice and a slice of lime . Nice to have an “grown up “ drink as a treat in the evening . Must be mixed with good tonic (cheap tonic overwhelms it ) not really sure why so expensive as the tax would be much less than a bottle of gin , i guess volume of production . Would i buy again ? Not sure

Too expensive
Can’t taste it even with the correct measures of lime and tonic water If it cost £10 it would be ok but the bottle goes down that fast and it’s nearly £30. Total rip off. Avoid until they re-price it.

Great for making healthy cocktails!
This was just spot on. I had some friends over and we made some martinis and margaritas with Adrift (plus a few negronis with the other Pentire Coastal Spritz) from the recipes on their website. So good!

Truly awful
I rarely leave bad reviews and have tried many alcohol free drinks, there are far better out there for a lot less. I tried it with fever tree tonic, a waste of good tonic water! and as a martini, both were undrinkable, I’m pretty sure dishwater would of tasted better! The rest of it will be used as drain cleaner.

Not for me
Sadly not for me. Very floral with an overwhelming smell and taste of some herb that I can’t identify but is unpleasant. The search for a gin replacement continues. I would have given a single star but just because I didn’t like it others may.

Best gin replacement with a kick
This lovely drink actually has a proper kick to it - don’t be shy, use a generous measure for best effects. We had to give up alcohol for health reasons and don’t miss it at all because this replacement feels and tastes very special - we get a bottle a week, which is way more than we drank of gin!

It took me a few tries, but I have decided that I really like this stuff! It is an unusual flavor on its own, but with tonic it provides a wonderful herbal, minerally flavor that results in a great drink. Does not taste like gin, but does taste like a fascinating botanical mocktail that isn't sweet or chemical-tasting. You need to approach it as its own thing, not as a fake-gin.

This seriously smells and tastes like you are drinking Pinesol. No matter what I did; change the ratio to tonic water, add limes, lemons, etc., it was just not drinkable. Even the smell of it grossed me out. The herbal taste is incredibly overwhelming. Down the drain!

Pentire's Adrift has a unique sophisticated flavor, and I imagine the Cornish coastline and wild herbs on the hillsides while enjoying it. I like it best straight over ice with a squeeze of lemon and a sprig of rosemary. I offered a taste to a sister, and she likes it, too. Based on my satisfaction with the taste of Adrift, and its other qualities, like no additives, especially dangerous ones, I have ordered one of their other flavors to try it out. I will become a repeat customer and buy this as a gift to give to those who may appreciate and enjoy the flavor.

I do appreciate that this beverage is sugar free but what is in the “natural flavors”? This is packaged nicely but disappointing on flavor. It just doesnt have enough spunk for me to reorder it. I hope they improve the flavor….need more bitters. I suppose its a Good gift for someone who doesnt drink and has everything…and doesnt consume sugar. We added orange twist.

this stuff is amazing if you prefer botanical gins. on the other hand, like many of the new entries in non-alcoholic substitutes, it’s rapaciously over-priced.
