Skin Picking OCD SAVIOR
I would provide photos of how bad my fingers were before I started using this product, but it was rather grisly. I have sever skin picking disorder and it focuses around my cuticles and can travel up my fingers and around to the finger pads. It starts with picking and moves into biting. It's something I've always struggled with and fought but couldn't figure out deterrents other than lotion to try to help healing and smooth out rough spots to not trigger the cycle. NIXXIT has been a major miracle, it stops the OCD cycle for me and has given my hands time to heal. I keep it on constantly, and as the cycles have been stopped, I only need to spot treat for flare ups. One tube has lasted me about 6 months. I started buying several and the twin pack to keep with me literally everywhere I may think to use it to keep up on it, so I'm never without when I'm in need. This little tool has given me control again, I'm not afraid of infection, I'm not afraid of people seeing my hands, I'm not in pain. I can't recommend this enough for people who struggle with similar issues or nail biting. It tastes AWFUL (which is perfect), and it's convenient. It doesn't hurt on open wounds to boot.

IT WORKS!!!!
I have been biting my nails ever since I was a little girl. As I got older, I realized just how bad it was! But for some reason, I would bite and not even realize it! This was now a bad habit! I used to go to the nail salon and have them put on acrylics which not only stopped me from biting, but it looked great and professional I realized that it would break bank my bank having to go every two weeks. Once they would grow out and fall off, before I could make an appointment, I would bite them off again...I finally told myself that this has to end! I have tried a polish that made my nails look glossy, which I liked, and when I would bite, there was a flavor, but it wasn't bad enough for me to stop. Finally, I found this product! It was the first one that popped up when I searched, and it had the best reviews, so I had to try it! The first day I applied, I forgot later that day I had it on, and I went to bite, and that taste ENDED it for me! I had the worst taste in my mouth that lasted a while even after drinking water, and at that moment, I knew I did not want to have that taste again! So I continued to apply day and night every day and made sure I was consistent. Two weeks later, my stubbed fingers now have beautiful, strong, naturally growing nails, and I look at my hand and admire the growth and willpower not to bite!

Works very much like a marker
I like that the pen applies the liquid with precision and it does not pass to other objects like food. What I'm not a huge fan of is that it takes two or three seconds for the taste to develop and build strength to a moderate bitter. It is one of the weaker bitter products I have tried. The percice placing and the low transfer are huge to me.

It worked for me !
Even though I’ve only used it once, maybe 3 times, I think it helped me tremendously at least get started. I purchased this product and it helped me to put a stop to my nail bitting behavior, it put a fowl taste on my nails and prevented me from bitting them. It’s been now almost 10 months and have a a nice set of nails that I now have to trim every now and then. I don’t think I’ve had ever used a nail clipper on my hands before. If you're like me, that has been dealing with this behavior all your life, once they grow, it’s a learning curve on how to deal with longer than usual nails. I scratched myself a few times doing mundane tasks.

Toxic ingredients . Buyer beware!
I received this product which I assumed was safe to consume I didn’t read many reviews or actually look at the ingredients much. When I received it I have it a try. While yes east to use. After accidentally licking a finger while eating or other casual touches near my mouth I confirmed it’s nasty taste. I thought ok this might work. But that soon followed by nagging nausea that lasted all day long. I’m still nauseated at 8 at night when writing this. I even washed my hands and did dishes thinking it be gone but it lingers invisibly and whatever is on it didn’t agree with me. I read more reviews confirming some other shad this experience. I’m an herbalist and likened the Tatar to dried aloe. It’s bitter. Most ingredients this bitter are very cold on digestion I’m not sure that’s the case with this stuff but definitely returning it and will try to find another way to break my bad habit. Brewing some fresh ginger tea to hopefully remedy this. Sorry but they really need to re-examine this product and create a non toxic version that won’t make you sick. Warning!!! Denatonium benzoate is moderately toxic to mammals and has a high tendency to bioaccumulate. ... It is moderately toxic to birds but less so to fish and aquatic invertebrates.

Love the applicator but that's where it stopped.
I have been struggling with nail biting for most of my life. I go for years with long nails then life throws me a curve ball and I'm back at it, and I bite mine down to the bare minimum until they bleed. Such a horrible habit to form. I have used several brands through the years that brush on like nail polish and the biggest draw back is they stay and stay and stay to the point I have to wear rubber gloves to eat my food, finger foods and burger type of things of course. I was excited to find this brand and style of application, as it was far easier to carry with me and use at will. Sadly, that was the problem, I had to have it with me at all times and reapply constantly. Even after just applying the product I would catch myself biting and think....wait, what happened to the rotten taste? It just did not hold up for me. It was a small amount to begin with, but for the many applications I had to use throughout the day made it extra expensive. Not to mention the bitter taste was so minimal that I had to remind myself that I was biting again, or picking at them, which totally defeats the purpose of using the product.

It's like a placebo. It doesn't deter me from biting my nails.

This stuff is magic - the pen makes it easy to apply and it does the job.

I like that this product comes in the pen form! Very cool, and super handy. First thing in the morning I can just brush it on my nails and around my cuticles without much hassle and as I’m applying cuticle oil. What I don’t like about it is the actual anti-bite liquid. It, like most other anti bite liquids, is water activated. However, this one almost thinner or more transferable than most varnish style anti bites I’ve used. It does almost completely wash off with one hand washing, so keep that in mind if you wash your hands, you will need to reapply. If a nail ends up in your mouth, you will need to reapply, even if it stops you from keeping it in your mouth, it won’t a second time. Despite this, it does still manage to stick around somewhere after nail polish remover, scrubbing with hot soapy water and a nail brush, and there will still be enough on and around your nail beds to really mess you up in unexpected ways. It will transfer to any and all foods you handle (like peeling or chopping anything), if you don’t completely remove you hand or finger from temperature checking before filling up a water bottle it transfers into that water, and for any bedroom activities that may or may not be damp, you will find it transfers in surprisingly unpleasant ways if you aren’t careful.

i used to bite my nails 1/2 way down my nail bed, but i used this multiple times a day every day for about a month and it really kicked my habit. i was a nail biter for 21 years, so i was super skeptical, but give it a chance fr.
