Nice and sturdy. Easy to assemble and adjust. Attractive. Great easel for a lower price point. I bought my daughter a more expensive easel when she was in college. This one is just as nice and for a lot less money. The wood is smooth and finished so there is no splinter concern. Nice product.

The box was a little beat up from shipping, but all the parts are so sturdy, well-wrapped, and in perfect condition. This was easy to assemble with clear directions and labelled parts. It looks good, is very solid, and functions perfectly. For the time being it's holding a very large white board,/bulletin board while I'm working from home and I couldn't be happier with it. If/when I ever return to the office, I plan to get one for there, too. Makes work almost feel like art. The backside of the white board is my fiberart planning space for pinning ideas and works-in-progress, and it handles all the pinning and height adjustments seamlessly. Bonus, it's easily moved to hold my Zoom background (hiding my home kitchen which is also my work from home space). So many uses for a floor easel!

Shipped and arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the stool as well. Both arrived at the same time. Opening the boxes, I saw no damage and all the parts needed were there. the materials are solid wood precisely cut and a nice smooth finish. The fittings were all steel and brass w/ the exception of the plastic tension knobs. The instructions were wanky, but I didn't need them anyway. Turns out the wrong instructions were included, but the company quickly contacted me and let me know they would send correct instructions via email. As I said, I didn't bother with them anyway. I just looked at the picture of the assembled easel and found it easy to figure out which pieces went together. I did put one piece on backward but noticed it right away and fixed it easily. The connectors were all hex driven (comes w/ a hex key) but I would have preferred Phillips heads so I could use my drill. Stool materials and assembly matched the easels quality and ease. An optional cushion for the stool would have been a welcome choice. I chose this easel both because it was inexpensive and tilts to a full upright 90 degrees, essential for a pastel artist. Honestly, I could not have purchased the wood alone for less than $200. I don't know how they can afford to sell this easel for so little. I assembled this by myself and it was very easy. It’s perfect for my room where I like to paint. I love how I can easily adjust it and the little storage shelf is handier than it looks. Very sturdy and solid. It’s also easy to move, tho it is a bit heavy.

Everything about it was great. The only thing is one of the pieces was pre inserted into another piece. On the instructions, those pieces were called 10 and 13. I thought they left out a piece until I realized they were already attached. Minor inconvenience, but everything else was easy to assemble and the end result was amazing.

This is a great quality easel. For the same easel, you'd easily pay double anywhere else. If not for botched instructions, I would absolutely recommend people buy this one. Assembly was a process of trial and error. The first 2 steps of the instructions were inaccurate. Numbers 6 and 7 were switched on the wooden pieces, so I had to assemble and then reassemble to get things set up correctly. It was frustrating, sure, but I still had the easel finished within the hour. If you're patient and refer to the product image on Amazon, you can get this put together pretty quickly. If you don't have a drill, the final steps of assembly will be difficult. The last 4 screws have corresponding pilot holes instead of fully pre-drilled holes. Inserting them with just a screwdriver will be extremely taxing. If you can survive the hour it takes to put it together, this easel will make you very happy. It's sturdy, all of the pieces are straight and of good quality. The wood is a warm honey color and has a beautiful grain, and the hardware is designed to protect the wood from stripping over years of use.

This easel is solidly constructed, stable and moderately easy to assemble. As long as you read the instructions you should be fine building in less than an hour. It has lots of adjustments so painting standing or sitting are both comfortable.

Very lovely and well made. TERRIBLE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS. The assembly instructions are nothing but an exploded picture of the easel and the pictures are small and hard to read. It is also difficult to determine the correct orientation of the various pieces to get them assembled properly. I will say that all the pieces are numbered and all the screws and bolts come in individual packages and are labeled clearly so it is easy to identify all the parts. It is the diagrams that are hard to read.

Very good product well built, can be adjusted at bittom and top. Very sturdy to paint on.

This easel is brilliant! It's even better than I expected. Though a little time consuming, due to the fact I have MS and I'm left handed (i.e. for me the screws have to go in 'backwards'!) but actually, easy to assemble following the clear booklet pictures and it looks fantastic. Very impressed the Philips screwdriver was included too. Quite heavy and solid so I put it together in place of where I want to use it. I'm absolutely trilled with the purchase. Thank you.
