I love to save money and this alkalinity increaser is far cheaper than getting at the pool supply stores locally. One disadvantage is knowing how much to use without having an analysis of your pool water. I go with a small amount of the increaser then test method using the 7 in one pool test strips. Use a bit then test it after a few hours over a few days until the test results are improved.
