1% Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream, Fragrance-Free Relief for Eczema-Prone & Dry Skin, 1 Ounce

I've used a lot of different hydrocortisone creams over the years, and this one is by far my favorite! I know different things work for different people, but for me, this does best at both helping with the itch as well as moisturizing my skin. It also doesn't turn into this gross flakey texture after sitting on my skin for awhile like some other brands have. My only complaint about this is that it's a lot thinner than other creams, so it's very easy to overuse it if you squeeze the tube too hard...and it's too expensive to overuse if you don't have to! So be careful when you're squeezing it out or you're going to get way more than you bargained for! Otherwise, I definitely recommend this!

Love the fact that this cream is fragrance free. Great for dry and itchy skin. It doesn't leave your skin all greasy.

listen… i got this because my contamination ocd has my hands in shambles. between constant washing and sanitizing, my skin straight up revolted. hives, itching, redness, the whole mess. i was switching back and forth all day between this and calamine cream just trying to survive, but the problem with hydrocortisone is you can only use it 3–4 times a day, and the hand washing means half the time i’d wash it right off. still, when it’s on, it works. effectiveness-wise, this cream really is like waving a white flag at your skin. the hydrocortisone kicks in quick to calm the itch, and the cerave base makes it actually feel nourishing instead of harsh. texture is smooth, not greasy, and spreads easily without leaving that gross film. it absorbs fast, so you’re not stuck flapping your hands in the air waiting to touch things. quality is solid cerave. no weird burning, no extra irritation, just dependable relief. thickness is just right: not watery, not paste-y, just that perfect middle ground that feels lightweight but still protective. scent-wise, it doesn’t have one. value for money is decent. the tube is small and i go through it quick, but a little does spread surprisingly far. i honestly wish they made a jumbo version because if you’re dealing with eczema, hives, or ocd hand-washing chaos like me, you’re going to want this on standby constantly. it doesn’t fix the fact that i wash my hands like 400 times a day, but it makes the aftermath bearable. safe, effective, and one of the few creams that actually makes me feel human again instead of a snake shedding its skin.

I was suffering with terrible itching and burning on my face and neck from my beard for the past couple of weeks. It was so bad that it would wake me up in the middle of the night. I researched what could be done for this condition and discovered that CeraVe was highly recommended. I tried it out and after the first application my itching and burning disappeared! This is huge for me because I was seriously considering shaving off my beard because it was so bad. This product works wonders. I highly recommend giving it a try!

I occasionally get a patch or two of Nummular eczema triggered by dry skin or a reaction to a hair care product or irritant. It usually lasts for weeks, itchy, bumpy and inflamed, then dry and scaly. So darn itchy! I had a spot on the back of my neck that refused to go away no matter how much moisturizer I applied. I caved and got this hydrocortisone cream even though I was afraid of steroid cream withdrawal. Wish I had gotten it sooner, because it cleared up in 2 days! Completely healed. Never going back again :)

This is magic. I have severe eczema around my forehead and when i used it, the eczema disappeared after only 2 days of use !!

CeraVe 1% Hydrocortisone cream works really well for itchy, eczema-prone skin. It’s gentle, fragrance-free, and provides quick relief without irritation. As a long time eczema sufferer, I have tried what seems like hundreds of products, looking for the right one. All of the 1% “safe for the face” creams that I’ve tried, have made the eczema on my face worse. Until now! I tested a patch on my arm and forehead before using on the skin around my eyes (where I suffer the worst). There was no stinging after use. The cream isn’t greasy, but really moisturises well, and really helped me with the itch too! I received this product yesterday morning and tested straight away. Then I used it last night before bed. My horrible flare up is now days ahead in its healing than it would otherwise have been. Can’t recommend it enough!

I get a little eczema on the tops of my arm’s & occasionally my elbows. This can keep me awake at night. This cream provides almost instant & lasting relief. It’s light, easily absorbed & also has the healing benefits of standard CeraVe moisturiser. Note: can’t be used around the eyes.

It worked for me (though it might not work for everyone, so I advise caution). I didn’t experience any aftereffects afterwards.
