I’m a female and I bought this many, MANY sizes too big…on purpose (I’m significantly overweight but I wanted something really big and roomy) because I had a shoulder surgery and had to wear a sling. I had a nerve block and had no use of my affected arm or hand for several days. So I bought this button up to throw over my arm and huge special sling that has an abductor pillow attached to it, so I needed something very big to go all the way around my body and arm with the sling underneath until I got home and the nerve block wore off so I could change and yada yada. So this was perfect for that. But it was humongous… the short sleeves were almost long sleeves, it went down to my knees and I could probably fit another slim human inside the shirt with myself, my arm and big awkward sling. So I’m pretty sure it runs a bit big. But the weight and material are great for any season (especially summer, it’s not too thick but thick enough to where no under shirt would be necessary). I’m keeping it to wear as a massive gown/robe. Even after sleeping in it and washing it, it’s still in great shape. No wrinkles, the collar isn’t all bound up… it a nice shirt. If you’re a big guy looking for something a little dressy or everyday work shirts, this is the one. But when they say big and tall… they MEAN it. So be careful and read the size chart before ordering. I’d give my height and weight and size I ordered, but it would not be helpful because I ordered it to be very big, and boy was it. This shirt is amazing. Granted, all the La Leela Hawaiian shirts I've bought are wonderfully comfortable and solidly constructed, but there's something special about this shirt that is unlike other non-La Leela shirts I've bought in the past.The solid color allows this shirt to be worn when one would never consider wearing a typical visually "loud" Hawaiian shirt. But to the wearer, it has all the comfort, breathability, and informality of wearing a Hawaiian shirt, because underneath its staid exterior it IS a Hawaiian shirt. But to the observer, it's simply a good-looking, classy summer-weight shirt that blends into any non-formal situation.Another factor worth praising is this is a La Leela shirt, a product from a company that has THE ABSOLUTE BEST customer service I've ever experienced on Amazon. Annie took the time to help me figure out what size I wanted two years ago when I bought my first La Leela shirts for a trip to Hawaii. She helped me again when a particular shirt I ordered was temporarily out-of-stock. And she again helped me when I was curious about the specifics of the solid print shirts I hadn't noticed before.I've ordered four of the solid print shirts and have found them as comfortable as the Hawaiian print shirts. My only wish is that there would be more solid color shirts from which to choose, and I expect that one day, there will be.I cannot praise the comfort, fit, and look of this shirt enough, and I can't praise the customer service of this company too much. It's a joy to work with them and I look forward to buying more of their shirts in the future.

Material is very thin, not so great Material. The size is not accurate, if you wear XL get a L. Shirt tapers from front to back, doesn't fit properly. Great color and would be a great shirt only if the Material was better.

I love these shirts. Admittedly I worry that over time the fabric will pill because of the material it's made of. Aside from that, these are my favorite.I am a lady, by the way. These shirts aren't feminine at all so if you are a man looking to buy these don't let my review turn you off, as these are men's shirts anyway. But they are just an all-around nice affordable shirt for anyone who likes this style.I've bought the black, maroon, white, and brown. The brown is slightly darker than pictured, which actually looks better in my opinion. I almost exclusively wear these shirts now. They are more comfortable than t-shirts. People seem to think they look quite nice/dressy and I've gotten a lot of compliments. They don't wrinkle as long as you hang them up promptly after drying. They're super breathable and comfortable while still looking nice. You can wear them almost anywhere: business casual offices, restaurants, concerts, hiking, the beach, or to sleep in. I've never owned a more versatile shirt. I did tailor mine a bit to better suit my body shape, which makes them look nicer. I am rather small and the xs fit me perfectly after I cuffed the sleeves. (I typically wear an xs or s in men's.)

Ordered an XL but was sent a 2XL which is huge. The color is beautiful and material is soft though.

I was worried about this product due to the size. Would it fit me being a large man of 6'4'' 275lbs. For a shirt like this I normally wear a 3xl and it depends on the company how it will fit. If they have 3xl tall then im good but if not. The shirt will look like a tent on me. So i read the comments and the responses steered me to an XL. I was worried because I haven't worn an XL since 2001. So I ordered one in case I have to send it back I only have 1 to deal with.It came in roughly 3 days and I was shocked that this XL fit me perfectly. It doesnt fan out like a tent on my body and it i long enough to where it doesnt look like I'm wearing my little brothers shirt. The big test was with my arms and upper body. I still participate in bodybuilding and I have a 52 inch chest and 21 inch arms. That sleeves were snug enough to where it doesnt feel or look like im about to bust out of them. And the upper body has enough room for my chest and shoulders. Still amazed this is an XL and I have already put an order in for three more shirts. Oh and the price is perfect. With $100 dollars I already have my summer wardrobe ready.
