For electric shaving, I’ve tried everything from fancy soaps to oils, creams and foams. In general, electric formulas are obviously smoother with electric razors. They all work better. Compared to Lectric Shave, this lotion has ups and downs. Freelette is less harsh and has a much weaker odor. Lectric Shave can be almost painful, but is stimulating, which I think gives me a slightly closer or easier shave. Freelette needs to be washed off because hair dust sticks to it, giving my skin a rough texture, but it still leaves my skin softer afterwards. Lectric feels “cleaner” and more refreshing. Overall, my skin reacts well to either formula. You could say that this is easier to apply, being a lotion, but Lectric is so cheap that in the end I think it’s easier to splash on. The sticker comes off the bottle of Lectric in the shower, while Freelette’s bottle is not damaged by moisture. Lectric leaves a funky odor sometimes if you fail to clean your razor thoroughly, but this doesn’t. Lectric occasionally needs to be reapplied if you wear it off. This always gives a thicker, even coat that stays until you wash it. If you understand what I mean, Lectric is more fun to use while this is kind of cold and goopy and gross and pharmaceutical. I enjoy keeping both for my mood. Neither seems to flatly outperform the other.

Well, they've made a breakthrough with this product. I've used around 5 electric pre-shave products, and this one works the best, and significantly better than the rest. It softens the skin and raises the hairs for a closer shave and it works quickly. It also coats the skin with a protective layer. I use a Panasonic Arc 5 and shave immediately after getting out of the shower. It's almost unbelievable how well this works. The shave time is shortened by about 1 minute (the Arc 5 gives you the shave time) and the shave is so close that it's equivalent to if I shaved against the grain with a DE razor. The most important part is I have absolutely zero irritation. The ingredient that gives the protective layer really works. The only downside for me is the scent. I could do without it. As others have said, it's a cheap Axe type scent and it's really strong. The good thing is that you don't have to use much of this product for the shave. Also, I always wash my face after I shave to get any of the extra product off. I then slap on some aftershave and even after all that I can still smell the Freelette scent, but it's very subtle. Conclusion: Incredible product. It makes the shave more efficient and close and completely eliminates irritation. If they made this unscented it would be perfect, or at the very least decreased the concentration of the scent.

This product seems to help deliver a very good electric shave. I use a Braun Series 9 Pro razor for reference. The instructions say to shave within 15 seconds of applying, which is awfully fast. It takes me longer than that to spread it over my face. So, I need to take a few drops of water and rub it on my face mid-shave to keep the moisture active, as it dries fast in our dry, desert climate. The product has the consistency of a thin after shave balm- not a splash. Scent is good, not too strong, and quite pleasant. It leaves skin soft and nice. Overall, I like the product and it is priced like many good after-shave balms, so not too out of line. I would recommend giving it a go.

I’ve been using an electric razor for over forty years. I’ve upgraded my razor numerous times over the years, always looking for the one. My guess now, is that I should have looked to upgrade my pre shave. I always used the green stuff my own father did. I tried a different one a few years back, and felt like I smelled like an old man. Today, as an old man myself, I still don’t want to smell like one. It was time for an upgrade. This morning, I tried Freelette. All I can say is wow! It goes over the stubble like butter, maybe better. The razor glided over my skin and cut smoothly. I was left with an extremely close shave, much closer than my Braun shaver has ever given, even when brand new. There was no burning or irritation after the shave, and the smell was great. I may have chosen a similar fragrance had I been looking.

This product allows me to have the closet electric shave than I have ever experienced. It is amazing. Yes it is expensive but it actually requires just a few drops to do what it needs to do. Just a little goes a long way. I think the shave is equivalent to wet shaving with a good safety razor. Amazing! .

Excellent for pre-electric shave. Smooth, not greasy, washes off easily after the shave.

It's not what I expected. I was leaning on an oil base electric shaving lotion but got a nice smelling face lotion. As far as performance it falls less than electric shave but probably better for my skin.

The smell is good but I am also looking for something else but it works pretty good

Having used an electric shaver for more than 50 years, I've tried every pre-shave concoction on (or ever was) on the market. This is the best, hands down. Literally takes just a drop. Smells great, leaves skin soft and lubricates for a smooth shave.

Ho sempre usato il Williams ma da qualche tempo non è più reperibile nel mercato. Ho provato tutti gli altri prodotti pre rasatura elettrica ma con esito poco soddisfacente . Devo dire che questo prodotto ha le stesse caratteristiche del Williams e forse è ancora più valido . Do il massimo dei voti ad eccezione del prezzo che è un po’ troppo caro

J'ai acheté ce pré rasage en me fiant aux avis des utilisateurs. Mon mari adore l'utiliser et ce d'autant que la texture est juste adaptée et facilite vraiment le rasage (électrique) le produit sent discrètement le citron. Je renouvellerai régulièrement cet achat pour lui même si le prix en regard de la quantité est un peu élevé.

Fantastique produit je ne sais pas ce qu’ils ont mis à l’intérieur mais ça marche très bien très doux et de plus ça sent très bon . Le prix est là bien sûr……. Mais Je recommande.
