I wouldn't waste time writing this review if I didn't feel it deserved it! Best flat iron I have ever owned. I have naturally curly hair, but it's very fine. I've had some health/dietary issues this last year (found out I have Celiac's disease) and my hair has suffered. It was fried and so dead after almost a year of being very sick all the time & not getting answers. After finally getting a diagnosis, changing my entire lifestyle to accommodate a new diet, and FINALLY feeling better, I am taking my self-care & beauty products much more seriously. I found a new hairstylist I LOVE, and decided I needed to invest some time and effort into finding a new iron to take care of my recuperating hair.. After years of using Chi & Herstyler products and never being completely satisfied, I am beyond thrilled with this iron and it's more than worth the investment. This iron is gentle on my thin & fragile hair, and after using this iron at least 4 days a week for a month now, my hair is looking healthier and healthier. One tip - DO NOT USE ON WET HAIR. Sometimes I leave my hair curly, but just iron my bangs. I usually don't bother to blow dry my bangs and just iron them wet - it fried them! It says this in the manual, but I ignored it and did it anyway, silly me! Luckily I just did a small piece and it's underneath so it doesn't show. I did a coconut oil mask and the fried pieces are better now, My hair has never felt so silky smooth and don't have the static issue I have battled with when using my other irons. The floating plates reduces the catching and pulling of my hairs like all other irons I've ever used; I was amazed at how smoothly it runs through my hair. Plus, the teal blue color is gorgeous. The one thing I'd change is the placement of the temperature control dial is a little awkward and sometimes I bump it when styling my hair and I have to be watchful of it, you'd think when paying this price for something there would be better placement for this, but it's still worth it and I'd buy it again - just be mindful of this while using the iron. Also, I registered the product immediately and the warranty is valid! I had read some other comments about this and it not being valid, or a knock-off version and had some concerns when I ordered this (but got it through Prime and figured I could return it if necessary). This product has exceeded my expectations and has given me the silky smooth straight hair I've always wanted.

Update: I am still using and loving this straightener two years in. The only negative I've found is that I picked out a white one, and my product has stained the end of it black. I would definitely repurchase if I had to again......I have used a few different kinds of straighteners with varying prices (CHI, ion, Theorie-* I will add that this one stopped working 20 days after I bought it, and they forfeited their warranty because I didn't buy through them.. ), and I was starting to get the impression that even a cheapie one would do the same job as a more spendy one. Well, I was wrong. I was also wrong in thinking that it was a myth when people said their straightener made their hair feel like they just left a salon..Although this one was the priciest straightener I've bought-it all shows in the quality of the product and the job it does. It is lightweight and sturdy at the same time, and well- designed. It comes with a heat resistant mat and bag. It has a real valid warranty, and is very simple to register and confirm it's authenticity. Moreover, it really actually makes my hair look and feel smooth and shiny in a way which I've only experienced after leaving a salon.I noticed this just after one preliminary test pass. Also, when went to do my usual touch up today I had nothing to touch up because it stayed perfectly straight. This is legitimately the best straightener I have used to date, and I'm so happy to have picked this one. The only thing that upsets me is I didn't find it sooner.

I ordered this after WEEKS of internet research and consideration between all the big name brands (Chi, FHI, ghd,etc) and I had been leaning toward the FHI knowing that it's a quality product and having used my mom's when visiting her, but the amazing reviews for the Karmin G3 kept coming up and it caught my eye! I'm so glad that it did! I received my product quickly (thanks Prime!) and right off the bat I was impressed by the presentation of the product, but I was still a bit nervous that the product would be a fake, as so many of the "unauthorized" retailers on Amazon apparently offer- according to all of the frightening reviews! To my relief, I went to the Karmin website, registered my product and confirmed that it is the real deal!! With that hurdle out of the way, I couldn't wait to use it! It heats up very quickly, and works like a charm! It had a bit of a chemical smell when it first heated up, but I think that was just burning off chemicals from the production. This baby has an auto-shutoff (LOVE) and heats up to 460 degrees! I use a heat shield on my hair prior to straightening, and this iron glided right through my strands, straightening and softening it with each pass (only needed one for most areas)! I can't wait to try flipping and curling with it, too!! Great purchase- VERY worth the price!!

The product itself is awesome! Just love it ! I am just desappointed because I ordered the pink one and then 2 or 3 days later I got an email that they don't have it so I needed to choose between black or white ! The other thing is that I emailed the seller 2 times and they never answered!

This is a fantastic hair straightener. So light weight and gives fast results. Cuts my styling time in half. Love that it has a shut off timer - lost count of the amount of times I had to return home to double check if I had unplugged previous hair straighteners. Had a GHD for 10 years, this product is equally as good if not better. Shipping was super fast also. Free travel pouch added bonus. Would definitely recommend this product. Professional quality product at a great price.

This straightener is amazing. I have had it now for over 2 years and use it daily. I purchased this mainly because I travel quite frequently and require the voltage range that this product offers. It has continued to heat up instantaneously and have not had any problems at all. Would definitely recommend this product and am thinking of purchasing the smaller flat iron as well for my travels.

I don't think this straightener is anything special. It's not bad but definitely not worth the price. I find Chi straighteners glide over my hair with a lot less resistance.

I recently purchased this hair straightener after my CHI straightener stopped working. I have only used it a few times so I cannot speak to how long this product will last. So far I am satisfied with the straightener. Although it does heat up more slowly than my CHI did, it is not a very long wait time and this product allows you to vary the temperature which I like. This hair straightener feels a lot lighter than the CHI did which on the one hand makes it easier to straighten my hair but as a result the hair straightener feels a bit flimsy. Overall, I am happy with the purchase so far and it does a good job straightening my hair while keeping it soft.
