My favorite. Easy to use. Last long. Quality is the best. Smells so good. I am upset of the prices now. It was so much more affordable now it’s beyond expensive.

I have a Whirlpool "Duet" HE frontloading washer. I have found that most of the fabric softeners onto market today are a thinner "viscosity" and simply do not work as intended in my machine. The "thinner" fabric softening products will seep out of the reservoir before it is their "show time" thus diluting the detergent and not being there to mix with the rinse water. May be a fault of the machine design, I don't know. However, for my "Duet, the Downy Concentrated Fabric Conditioner works. And it works well. It leaves a pleasant aroma and actually "softens" the clothes. The "thinner" products just simply do not seem to work. This is a reliable product which does not disappoint in the way it softens the fabric. Familiar scents, reliable performance. Having chased after a few "glamour" products I have come back to what is known to work. For the price, its a deal.

Between the scent and softness of Downy you can't go wrong.

Downy fabric softener has been in my laundry bucket since I was in grad school…back when Nirvana was still an unknown band. So it goes without saying that I should know by now what to expect from Downy fabric softener. Every single bottle I’ve purchased over the past 35 years has provided the exact same excellent performance. Soft, clean clothes out of the washer…no wrinkling, color issues, or excessive wear. Just softness. I’ve occasionally tried other softeners just for the heck of it. But I’ve never found anything which exceeds the performance of Downy.

Out of all fragrances this does not affect my allergies. It is not a perfume scent. It is clean and fresh scent.

I don't have a dryer, so I hang everything to dry. I have tried many softeners and this one really does stand apart for leaving clothes exceptionally soft once they've been line dried. I'm shocked at how little I can get away with using (a quarter of a capful?) and how insanely soft the towels and clothes dry. Highly recommended. Note that this is more expensive as it's the ULTRA PLUS, not like all the pink capped ones you see at Walmart. But it delivers and you only need a tiny amount of it. Resist the urge to put in a whole capful, you don't need that much.
