No, it won't work. Don't confuse the TRX40 Aorus Xtreme with the X399 Aorus Xtreme. The latter board only supports Threadripper 1st and 2nd gen which use the X399 chipset. This 3rd gen CPU uses the new TRX40 chipset so it won't work. Check the manufacturer's website.
