ShowMaven Backdrop Stand, Heavy Duty Banner Stand Adjustable Trade Show Display Stand Step and Repeat Stand for Parties and Photography (10 x 8ft)

I just received and assembled this Show Maven backdrop stand, and I absolutely love it. It extends wide and high and the metal feet make it rather sturdy. The horizontal top rod is a little fat, which could present an issue for clip on backdrops. The metal base convinced me. I have four slide-on back drop curtains, and they worked just fine. I love this one so much better than the tripods I'd previously purchased before on Amazon. I wish I could return them (2), but the return period is expired. Nevertheless, I will likely order the smaller size for use as a stage divider wall.

1st time buying a one of these and pretty pleased! Using it for a 10x8 step and repeat back drop from Banner Buzz that fit perfect in it. I read through sooo many different reviews and was hesitant on this one since it wasn’t marked as an Amazon prime item but it had the best reviews so I decided to give it a try. It’s exactly as pictured didn’t have any issues. The instructions are written poorly but after playing with it a few minutes it was easy to figure out. Also a nice surprise is that this one came w/2 zippered bags to use to add weight to help hold it down. Maybe I missed that in the description. I really don’t see why it wouldn’t last

This background holder is extremely durable. I actually looked for which stand weighed the most and this one weighs about 20 pounds. The feet are very stable and there is almost no sag at all across the top pole. It will definitely be strong enough to hold our backgrounds. The bottom pole really adds stability to the whole unit as well. Everything is labeled where it should go and everything is packaged very well in the bag. This was a very good buy.

Edited review: I still like the functionality of the stand. We use it for banners at holiday events. My delay in editing is due to those events being cancelled over the recent past. My reason for decreasing the stars is because the case zipper is entirely too small and weak to function with this heavy stand. The second time we used it, one of the zippers quit working. Today, the second zipper failed and everything fell out onto the street. In a studio, this would probably be OK but we carry the stand from place to place and the case is shot after 4 uses. Also, there is no secure pocket to store the Allen wrench so losing it is a distinct possibility. Be sure and leave your screws in the poles when you break down or they will get lost too.But on the plus side, I really like the long, flat feet instead of the tripod feet. In our case, we often have to fit in a 10x10 space so the extended feet are too large and a trip hazard.After two seasons of struggling with a lightweight PVC stand, we decided it was time to upgrade to something that 1) looked better and 2) didn't need sandbags to be sure it stayed upright. After searching my options, I decided this seemed like the perfect set up and I am very pleased with it. The only downside is that it is not light to carry but the case makes it simple to haul and keeps everything in perfect condition. I wanted an adjustable stand that would conform to banners of different sizes and didn't require one dimension to increase because the other dimension did. I am pleased with the small footprint it requires and the subsequent ability to stand near a wall vs a tripod foot that eats into your display space. All in all, it's a great item for the price and should last for many years with reasonable care.

The main reason I ordered this stand is because it doesn't use a tripod base.I ordered on a Sunday, to use over the following weekend. Received on Wednesday. Plenty of time, I thought. Solid construction but... It was missing all the assembly hardware! I sent a message to the seller that same night. They were very helpful and said they would send the missing items right away. Oh well, I guess I won't be able to use that weekend, after all...Au contraire! Saturday morning I received the hardware, put the stand together and worked like a champ!The pole bases are heavy enough to make it stable, without taking up too much floorspace.Thank you, Matladin!!!

The stand was very easy to put together and although, at first I thought it seemed a little shaky, once everything was tightened it worked well. Held an 8 X 6 grass wall with a balloon garland without a problem and I didn’t use the included sand bags. The bonus is the carrying bag!

I really, really, like this stand. As an event decorator, it is easy to travel with, and set up takes just a few minutes. I was able to use it successfully many times, until the last event. What a disaster! Now, this was not the first time it had gotten stuck when trying to extend the pole, but this time was different. Three different men tried for me, and it would not budge! I was in the middle of setting up for a Sweet 16 and I had no functional backdrop stand for the main photos. I panicked, I prayed, I tried with all my might, but nothing worked. Thankfully, another event planner had a great idea to move my backdrop behind the guest of honor's seating area since it was lower and I would not have to extend the pole any higher (since the wouldn't move anyway). It worked out ok. The stress and frustration was palpable. Now I have to invest in a reliable backdrop. I wonder if the seller is aware of this issue and if something can be done...
