Nikon D70 Digital Camera Memory Card 8GB CompactFlash Memory Card

My Nikon D70s is an older camera. The Nikon web site has an archive list of compatible memory cards. Using this as a base I found the cards on East Coast Photo. they even said that larger memory cards were compatible. My original was a 1GB that held just under 300 high res photos. I bought a 4GB. It arrived on time and worked immediately. Good product and good vendor.

I bought an old Nikon D70 camera to take UV and IR photographs, but the camera needed batteries and a CompactFlash card. I was worried that the new cards might not work with this old camera, but this card worked just fine.

On June 9, I bought two Dane Elec 8GB Compact Flash cards for my Nikon D70 digital camera. I each of them 2-3 times per month (so not heavy use). I had a photo assignment in mid September and inserted one of the cards into my camera. It said it needed to be formatted. It had already been formatted when I first used it, but I figured I would play along and format it in the camera. After multiple attempts, it wouldn't format. I tried the 2nd card. Same result -- that one wouldn't format either. So right now, I have two non-working cards that lasted 3 and a half months. I wrote to the seller to ask for replacement cards or a refund. I will change my rating if they come through. Otherwise, I WOULD STRONGLY URGE YOU TO NOT BUY THIS BRAND.

Used this in my prehistoric Nikon D70S. Saved the images just fine, and displayed the remaining memory on the LCD just fine. In all it was a great purchase.

This worked for only two weeks before crapping out on me, in an otherwise perfectly good camera.

Product was good it just didn't work in my camera. It would not format. I will keep the card and use it in my other devices.
