Blue Sea Systems 7184 285-Series Thermal Circuit Breaker, Surface Mount, 48V DC, 60A

I built an off grid solar power system so I can run a small room air conditioner with "free" power from the sun. Blue Sea Systems Circuit Breakers play an important part to the overall safety of the system. Sure, there are cheap clones made in China. But, when I want to make sure I do not burn my house down, I use quality components. Blue Sea Systems have been around a long time and make quality stuff.

It works like the advertised, very good quality.

Excellent unit, does not trip when it's not supposed to.

Easy to install.

Go buy cheap at your peril. I have bought a lot of blue seas stuff for my new jetboat project and all I have seen from them is quality. This unit has a quality feel to it and the red push button I feared would be easy to bang into by something getting thrown around in the boat causing a shutdown....but the red button has a descent feel with a good push to disconnect. Easy to reconnect. I really like the blue seas marine stuff. I’ll pay extra for good gear it’s usually cheaper in the long run.

Product arrived on time. Installation was straight forward and so far it runs well. Will update this review once fully tested on max amps. But so far, quality is solid. December 24, 2020 Update: After 3 months of use. The system still runs perfectly well and stable. Always buy good quality circuit breaker like Blue Sea Systems. Don't buy cheap knock offs.

Cheapy beakers keeps making problems, after replaced the Bluesea breaker, problem solved.

I had tried multiple different resettable fuses in my vehicle for my on board air compressor (up to and 80a fuse for a 40a compressor) and they would still always blow or overheat and leave me waiting for 5-10 to let the fuse cool down before I could actually reset it and get my compressor back on. I finally ordered a fuse from Blue Sea and the difference was night and day, now I could be confident that my fuse was the right size and wouldn't just quit after 5 minutes of inflating tires. Now I have a fuse that I never have to touch it is just there in case something was to go wrong and in that situation I would be confident in its ability to cut off the power like it is supposed to.
