This is an older Revell kit, but it's one of the few F4U-1a 1/72-scale kits available, so it will do. But . . . a model kit box is designed to protect the model on the hobby shop's shelves, NOT to be used as a shipping container. This vendor simply placed the shipping label on the model box and shipped it out. It got here with some slight crushing and a corner torn wide open. I checked over the model and (1) all the parts were still present and (2) none of the parts were crushed or broken, so I "lucked out." It was the careless shipping that earned the three-star rating.
