SafeAir TDI/MDI Badge for Aromatic Isocyanates (Part# 382001-50, 50-Pack) and Strap Clips (Part# 401966-10, 10-Pack)

I saw these badges at a polyurethanes conference and thought they would be an excellent Safety measure for my lab research. I use isocyanates every day, inside a fume hood, but always needed a way to ensure It was drawing enough air away from my body. With these badges, I can safely do my job without worries. I have tested them with exposure to isocyanate and they work perfectly.

I didn’t like that they weren’t quantitative but I knew that going in and just needed to get an idea of whether we were close to the limit or not. Also unsure if they worked for any isocyante or not.

The badges came in a thermally sealed package. One thing to note is that these badges must be refrigerated immediate upon receipt prior to use. The badges worked great for monitoring our construction workers while performing spray-applied insulation.

Worked as advertised. Luckily our process didn’t trigger the cards.

Used for detecting isocyanates in an enclosed space with multiple operators.
