An amazing little CPU cooler
I bought this specifically to overclock my Raspberry Pi 4 so that it could be a decent retrogaming console for my wife. I've been building my own gaming PCs for almost 30 years, so she's very familiar with CPU coolers. When I showed this to her, her reaction was "OMG, it so cute!" But behind the cuteness are some amazing cooling capabilities. The cooling fan wasn't difficult to install. The kit includes everything that you need to secure it to the RP4, including a precision screwdriver and a plastic mounting plate. Once the fan is connected to a 5V (or 3.3V) power source, it starts up as soon as the PR4 is turned on. I installed it as per instructions with one main difference: I used Arctic Silver 5 instead of the stock thermal stickers, which in general are okay but usually inferior. After it was assembled, I decided to stress test it by overclocking my RP4 to CPU at 1.95 GHz, GPU at 600 MHz, and V3D at 750 MHz, and then ran a process to calculate prime numbers on all four cores. With all four overclocked cores running at 100%, CPU temperatures stayed within 27-30°C, even after several minutes, which is amazing. And before anyone asks, the RGB LEDs cannot be controlled; they cycle through different colors. The only connections on the fan are positive and negative power cables. That's it. So if you have any possibility of overclocking an RP4, this is definitely the cooler to get. I already plan on getting another RP4 and even if I don't overclock it (who am I kidding? I definitely will), this fan will be installed with it.

Vanilla ice, ice baby 🎶🎵
Yo this thing keeps raspberry pi ice cold no matter what I do, doesn't even matter if I leave it on for a couple weeks working on a complex tasks, stays perfectly fine! Actually worked on the raspberry pi 5 for me too, I just sort of had to flip the brackets around differently. Highly recommended! I don't like using the fan with the RGB lights myself, but they do look super freaking cool. Since I leave mine on all night usually I just don't want the lights keeping me up.. It is so quiet too I never even notice it! One weird thing and it's not the Fan's fault it's totally the pi, but it stays on even when the pi's turned off..

No complaints for the price
There seems to be quite a big gap between the CPU and the cooler on my pi3b as those don't have shields over the chip. I had to stack all three thermal pads to get it to touch the cooler. Instead, I installed a copper shim and used thermal paste and threw away the supplied thermal pads and now there's good contact and cooling. I also kinda did my own thing on install which is why it doesn't match the photos. I'm using the bottom half of one of those aluminum heatsink cases instead of the supplied acrylic, but that doesn't change the height the cooler sits at over the CPU. It idles about 10°f above room temp, but the real win is when it's under load. It would jump from 86° to 120° while streaming from go2rtc but now it doesn't break 95°. Both the CPU and GPU are overclocked for no reason other than I felt like it. It came with a clear RGB fan and an all black fan. Seemed wasteful to not use them both. You can easily pop the top plate off the cooler, turn it 180°, and use those two holes to install the other fan. Each fan is only held on with two screws now but they're not exactly producing 747 thrust and my gut says it will be fine. There's enough clearance above the gpio pins for this, but adding things there later would likely require removal of the additional fan. In all honesty I never needed this, I got nowhere near thermal throttling, I like it because it looks silly on a pi that does nothing but stream a picam to a home assistant dashboard.

Different from ordered, tough fit with voron
I ordered this sight unseen hoping to throw it on my rpi4 on my voron ldo 2.4 rev c build. It gets hot asf in my garage where the printer is so it’s perfect for abs but my rpi suffers. I could probably leave it as is but I’m a sucker for tech, gadgets and doodads, I wanted a big cpu heating with egg on my voron with a little bit of cooling and that’s all. so here’s my verdict. Great lil heat sink and fan, even came with an extra fan! I haven’t tested it out but I have no doubt it’ll keep the pi cool. Versus the expected product, my fan came with three pins instead of two, what is the third pin you ask? No idea! It goes to pin 4 on the GPIO so maybe you’ll know better than I. Next because this is my use case, does it fit in the Voron 2.4? No! Not unless you use a super slim DIN mount and relocate the HAT from the LDO kit, also known as the LDO version 3 input shaper kit. (I suppose other kits don’t have hats or they’re just different) Last, I’m a dingus for trying to put this on my Voron but it was worth it. Custom mount (thanks vouchers on printables!!), 90 degree GPIO adatper, and a little bit of ingenuity and now this mini heating is poking its RGB out my front skirt! Love it! Temps are nominal but now I know my rip won’t get too uncomfortable in my 105 degree garage! Good luck, I’m sure 1 out of 1,000,000 will be looking at this for the same use case but with the time I spent on this I figured this review would be worth it!

Good cooler.
This cooler works great on a Bitaxe Supra.

10C drop
This cooler really helped to lower the temperature on a Bitaxe Gamma 602. It was paired with a Noctua fan. The chip is overclocked to 810 MHz and the cooler holds it at 62C. The mount needed is Bitaxe 52PI ICE Tower Cooler Heatsink Socket Adapter.

It keeps my Raspberry pi 4 8GB cold. The heat sink feels cold, never felt it becoming warmer even when I make the pi work harder. The fan is taking its power of the tool pins (really the 5V). And it is silent. I have had the pi running 24/7 for a week now, in my bedroom. And the sound is hardly noticeable.

Absolutely love it! Looks amazing, fits really well and assembly is easy. I'd recommend using a traditional thermal paste however a thermal silicone pad is provided. The rgb led is permanently on but a black fan was also provided in the kit should that be your preference. Works on 3.3V or 5V pins so there is 2 options for fan speed and led bright brightness. Comes with a white acrylic base plate that does the job perfectly well if you don't have a case on already. Fan I find is very quiet and keeps the processor super cool, perfect for overclocking or just turning your pi into a mini pc ;) Highly recommended all round.
