Great product
It works great. Easy installation. I gave it to someone to install who has not much knowledge in cars and still managed to install it well in my new nissan kicks 2025. Thank you

Good kit at first
Good buy to hardwire my dash cam. Comes with everything needed to permanently install the camera, plus was very easy to install. Much better than using the accessory plug installation method. 11/4/24 Quit working. Suspect a short in the wiring because I can't get continuity. Plugs and fuses are OK. Went back to the accessory plug wiring which works fine.

OK wiring kit if you don't want to power your Rexing Dashcam with a Cigar lighter plug
I used this wiring kit for the Rexing V1P-4K Dual Camera Dashcam. This is the 4th dashcam I'm installing so I have a bit of experience. The wiring itself is fairly straight forward. Most of my time I spend was on finding the proper fuse to tap on the vehicle's fuse box. Luckily my vehicle (Audi Q3) has a couple of empty fuse slots that were open and used those to connect the red and yellow leads. Also lucky that the leads they provided were the same as the ones on the car, so no replacing/rewiring the taps on my part. Couple of things to note: 1. As other said "why is there no 90 deg Mini USB connector", would have been really nice to have it to achieve a much neater install. I'm guessing maybe some dashcam models (using this same wiring harness) have their USB power input oriented opposite of my V1P, if that is the case then it makes sense. 2. Just a warning in case this causes your car battery to drain. I noticed after completing the installation, when you plug in the unit with the ignition OFF, the camera would power up and will stay powered up indefinitely. You have to cycle the ignition key on, then off for the camera to power off with the ignition off. UPDATE: While everything seem to be working fine for the past few days, just found out by accident today that my camera did not stop recording after I put the car in the garage about 3 hours ago. So I continued researching what's causing this. I simply wanted for the camera to operate while the vehicle is running (so no parking mode required). One reviewer indicated that if this is how you want to operate the camera, connect the YELLOW wire to SWITCHED 12v source (and disconnect the RED). I did this and it seem to works. Need to verify this the next few days to confirm. Apparently the labeling on the kit (as other reviewers mentioned) is probably still incorrect/switched. Sorry, downgrading it 1 star because of inadequate instructions.

Does not work with F150 interior fuse box
No 90 degree plug? The low profile micro adapters did not work on my F150, so the kit was generally useless for me. They do not go all the way in due to the design of the fuse box and the 90 degree angle at the end of the tap plug. Waste of time and money for me.

Easy Install, Know Your Wiring
This was straightforward to install. I'm going to be frank: the reviewers that say "Oh the wiring is reverse and it stays on all the time when wired as directed" didn't install it correctly. You've got the acessory on/off connected to an always-hot fuse location, perhaps based on an (incorrect) assumption that the fuse you chose is switched. I experienced this exact scenario, the accessory fuse I was wiring into was on/off rather than always on despite the outlet it feeds turning off with the vehicle. It wasn't until I pulled out the multimeter and verified, that I realized my accessory circuit has additional relays and wiring that shut off the accessory outlet directly with the vehicle, but the fuse that feeds that circuit remains hot. For those who wire this up and it stays on all the time: check your fuses with a multimeter, and don't assume the fuse is cold because the thing it feeds turns off with the vehicle. Additionally, you need to know which side of the fuse connection is the hot side, and plug your wiring in appropriately, with the side of the connector without the wire connecting to the hot side of the fuse. It's really quite easy to do this wrong, and end up with a camera that either never turns on, stays on all the time, or shuts off even though you have parking mode enabled. Get a multimeter, verify your circuits, hook the fuse splice up in the right direction, and it'll likely work for you as intended.

Must have for long term install
If you're going to regularly use your dash cam in your vehicle I highly recommend using the hardwire kit. It keeps your line of sight clear and eliminates one of the cords we all seem to collect in our cars these days. The picture I posted here shows the camera tucked up behind the rear view mirror. The cord is tucked up in the headliner and goes across the windshield to the driver's side A-pillar, then down to the fuse panel located behind the endcap on the dashboard. The best update to the hardwire kit is they made the fuse holders so they separate with quick disconnects. This makes it much easier to plug in the fuse holder, route your wires without having to pull several feet of wire through things to route it just the way you like. I used a multimeter to find which fuses are powered when. You can find the same information either online or simply think about what things in your car require the key to be ON in order to get power to them. Then find and use that fuse to supply power to the lines in the kit as they're marked. Side note. Cords hanging down in your windshield, kind of give the guys/gals in blue a "reason" to pull you over for obstructed view or in some states, having a fuzzbuster.

Defective and broken product sent. The wires are taped up and sent without any quality checks. Not sold by rexing. Worst experience ever.

The hardwire kit is high quality and easy to install. I connected it to my fuse box and it works great with parking mode. The cable length is perfect, and the voltage protection gives peace of mind. Recommended for anyone with a Rexing dash cam.
