Nice book

lots of good ideas just have figure out to produce a good end result

I bought this for my brother as he does woodworking. As it turns out, he had his eye in this book and was really happy I sent it to him. I did place a few sticky notes in it (hints never hurt).So glad I got it for him, now all have to do is sit back and wait for the mailman to bring me his first (hint) project;-D

The descriptions are superb and the pictures are exactly what I needed to see. The choices of projects give the turner a wide range of bowls to make, and open the door to creating even more designs. I only wish there was more on complex design rings and their construction, but I'm very pleased with what's there.

To improve you projects, must book to have.

I would like to have seen more on turning bowls. More on bowl patterns too. I found the book very informative.

by discription I expected more photos or designs of finished products for design ideas, wasn't much of any thing and only one for each type [open seg and closed] would not recoment this book if you already know some about turning bowls

Good book, especially for a beginning segmented turner. Some new techniques I haven't seen before in other books I have. I recommend it.

easy to understand

Very interesting, beautiful projects shown, but shows too much open segment turnings to my taste. Not much on staved construction.
