Vox Everyday Spanish and English Dictionary (VOX Dictionary Series)

I used this book in 2006 in my first spanish class in college. When my husband needed a spanish dictionary book for a spanish class in 2012, I recommended this book to him. I Ordered it and he found it to be useful. I would recommend this book to anyone starting off in an entry level spanish class.

The words are very easy to look up. The print is very clear and concise. This is a great everyday English and Spanish dictionary for the beginner and more advanced student.

I do translations for my church and it is helpful for that purpose.

This VOX Spanish English Dictionary is comprehensive and easy to use. It includes how the words are used idiomatically in everyday speech in both languages, and has an enormous vocabulary as well as listing the conjugation of regular and irregular verbs. Also includes many slang phrases. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a Large Print Edition (I am 71 years old now). I got my first copy of this 40 years ago when I managed an organic farm and my only one of my crew was was fluent in English. It was a lifesaver then, and a wonderful, daily resource for me now that I live in a bilingual nursing home. Viva VOX dictionary!

So easy to use and understand

It's a good start for common words but it is not a trully complete dictionary. There are many, many words missing and for someone like me that wants to use higher level language words, it falls short. If you want to learn words for normal everyday conversation than it works great. If you are dealing with buisness language and technical document translation, than I suggest a more complete option.
