Great Product, Cutting Hole in Floor requires some thought
Solid, well-made product. Instructions provide a template for the hole required in your floor, but no further guidance on cutting the hole. The most difficult part of this job was cutting the hole in my oak flooring. The template is a rectangle with rounded corners. I started with a 2" hole saw in each corner then completed the sides of the rectangle with a jigsaw. However, I hit a flooring nail. Nails embedded in wood can be stubborn. I used a grinding wheel to cut the nail but there are lots of other ways to deal with embedded nails. This was more $$ than similar products but worth it.

Sitting flush?
Works great, if yours isn’t sitting flush with the floor, widen your hole a bit, it could be pinching the brackets on either side which caused a clearance problem for me. Trimmed a little more on each side and boom fit perfect. When you screw or in it also will synch everything down. This is solid, looks great.

Nice clean install
The box looks great after install, it sticks up a little higher than I would like. Good quality materials, works as it should. Theo only draw back is the door( receptacle cover) is hard to open and needs a tool to pry it up.

Good quality and straight-forward DIY for the home handy
This box and lid are stout and attractive. Installation was easy enough with the instructions provided. If you’re not experienced with installing outlets, you might want some help, but if you have the tools to cut through your floor and know how to do some basic home electrical work, this is a slam dunk. Ours is for temporary use behind a living room couch, charging devices mostly. The rubber covers in the metal lid are easily slid out for semi-permanent installations of lamp cords or similar. My install was accomplished through hardwood with a spade drill and vibratory cutter, and took about 30 minutes start to finish as an outlet line was already available when our house was built.

Would have done the job if it was all here. :-/
I give it a 5 star even though it was missing the top cover and gasket. The product otherwise seems very well designed. Got a full refund.

Great quality, easy install.
I was intimidated by this project. I needed to install an outlet under a powered sectional, and didn't want six different running across the floor to various outlets. I have done many DIY projects in my 25 years of home ownership, but had never cut a hole on the floor, from the warm insulated inside to the cold outside (storage basement). I put this off for a while, but finally decided to tackle it. I watched various YouTube videos and gained the confidence. My main advice on this is to measure the placement twice to ensure you are in the right spot, and use the provided template. Once you cut that hole, the rest is a piece of cake.

Exactly What We Needed
This product was exactly what we needed! We've been running an extension cord under the rug for two years. I know, I know, that's dangerous, but we had no choice......until now! Now that bump in the carpet is gone and no more fire hazard!!! This is NOT a simple DIY project and you'll need skills and tools that most don't have. If you don't have these tools and skills, you'll need to hire a professional to install it for you. It looks good and solved a huge problem for us!
