Best iron ever!
After trying this iron, I don't want to ever go back. No issues with burning fabrics with this. The only problem is if it falls on the floor. I've broken two this way. Keep it flat on the pad that comes with it if you want to help make sure it doesn't get knocked over. I've learned the hard way. The iron heats up quickly. It does need frequent refilling of water during ironing, but that is a minor inconvenience.

It works well on every fabric, never too hot for any job, best iron I've ever had.
I purchased this iron about 8 years ago at a Home Show & was skeptical that it would work as advertized but it did. It turned out to be the best iron I've ever used. When it stopped working, I bought the 2nd 1 from Amazon & am very pleased to have it. It's a little expensive for an iron but to me, it's worth it. I use it all the time.

Fabulous iron but poorly designed
I've had three of these irons. When they work, they are absolutely fabulous. You can move from linen to the most delicate silk immediately because you are only steaming. The sole plate really doesn't heat up much. However, they are quite fragile. My latest one I've only had for three months, and the continuous steam button broke. I've had all the other problems the other reviewers have had with my earlier models - handle heating up (and no the steam wasn't leaking); If anyone out there can make a recommendation of another iron that does what this one does, I would be glad to hear of it. With my old steam irons, while sturdy, they scorched fabric! You had to select the right temp for the right clothing, which isn't easy when you're ironing a pile of clothes!

Excellent steam iron.
This is our second one of these. We bought the first while years ago. It is really nice and much easier on your clothes than a traditional iron. It is a bit more expensive than a traditional iron, but it is worth it. I’m sure that when this one finally quits I will buy another one.

Good but expensive
Pros: it works great! Uses regular tap water. Can be used on literally any fabric. Steam comes out with a push of a button or continuous steam. It heats up fast. Can be used as a traditional iron or as a vertical steamer. It really works great!Cons: no window to see how much water is inside. Needs to be emptied after each use. Seems to wear out after a couple of years. It will start leaking after a couple of years and the steam escapes so it is hot to use.I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that I have had to replace it. This is my 3rd one. It really is such a good concept. I think with a little tweaking it would be consistently a 5 star product. Obviously I like it as I have purchased it 3 times in the last 15 years. I can’t be without it!

Will never buy a different brand of iron
If you are looking for an iron that consistently produces a lot of steam but will never scorch your clothes, then buy this one! I had one for about 15 years but the wires in the cord connection weakened so that it would sporadically turn off by itself. To replace it, I bought a different brand because it was cheaper and highly rated. I admit, this iron is expensive. After using the other brand several times and wishing I had my old Euro Steam, I returned it. My main complaint was it only produced steam on the hottest setting, and I wanted steam no matter what fabric I was ironing. I will never buy a different brand again!

Do NOT buy this Euro Steam iron unless……..
…. unless you like to gamble with your money. Your $229 purchase could become an expensive door stop, like mine did, 4 months after the warranty expired. Please read on.My first Euro Steam lasted 10 years! Steam got the job done beautifully, quickly, without damage to fabrics. Used it 2 or 3 times a month but it stopped working after I dropped it.Decided to “bite the bullet” and pay $229 (plus tax) for my second Euro Steam. I figured the steep price would be an investment that would last me many years, as my first, so was shocked when, 4 months after the warranty expired, the iron suddenly expired. Off/on switch will light but iron will not heat up. What changed?? Are they now making them cheaper?? Was this a defective iron??Rechecking recent reviews for this, many people reported their iron also stopped working, often shortly after warranty expired or even before.Called customer service and was told, since out of warranty, I could send it back to them, at my expense (would weigh over 4 lbs.) to see if they could repair, at my expense.I told Euro Steam customer service woman I was not happy to have to spend more money on an iron, that just over a year ago, I paid $229 for, AND it appeared from the reviews many others also had their irons stop working. The "customer service" woman replied “I won’t listen to negativity” and she hung up the phone! Now I have a $229 door stop. Also, as I look to purchase a new steaming iron (NOT another Euro!) I realize many other irons offer features that Euro Steam never had and still lack. So, you decide. Are you a gambling person? Would you like to buy a door stop?
