The Smoant Karat Pod Starter kit is a new Pod Mod kit following on from their other pod kit the Smoant S8. Pod mods are handy little devices to have around – for starters or even more long term vapers as they can dish out a nice quick nicotine hit without being bulky or chucking out super size clouds. With a pod mod you use high nicotine e-liquid or even better Nic Salt – so the device can be lower powered and therefore a smaller battery. The internal battery on the Karat pod mod is 370mAh – which is the lower end of average for most pod mods. There is a constant output of 3.4V and this fires up the 1.3ohm resistance coil located in the pod. The coil is apparently a new style “Quartz” coil which from the marketing images looks to be an almost honeycomb metal structure. The more surface area in contact with the e-liquid means the better the vapour. The pod also holds the e-liquid and is refillable via the bottom filling plugs.
