Mothers08712 Professional Finishing Polish - 12 oz.

I had a few spots on the hood of my 2000 Infiniti QX4. It has gold colored paint and I had stupidly used RainX to remove some bird crap off the hood while I was treating the windshield. I didn't realize the alcohol content of the RainX would strip the protective layer of wax on the hood which caused the sun to discolor the paint. So before it got really bad (a month later you could really see exactly where I had applied RainX and where it drizzled down the hood) I bought some of this stuff. It took some elbow grease and quite a bit of gentle rubbing to even out the paint on the hood, but it's all cleared up now. I nice layer of wax over the hood to finish the job and it's back to perfect. Of course I used Mothers Paste Wax to finish the job.

I had a "blurry" spot on the dark gray metallic paint on my vehicle from bird poop that I couldn't get off with just plain wax or polish. I tried this finishing polish with the hand held micro fiber applicator and was able to remove the "stain" after a few attempts. (probably could have done the job in one application, not being a body work professional I wasn't sure just how abrasive a polish might be) Turns out its the best looking spot on the whole car so I had to wax the rest of it to match

I used this for polishing a Cadillac. It's hard to use by hand, of course I realized this after I bought it and realized it was designed to be used by hand.I also tried Chemical Guys VSS polishing compound and found it to yield better results with more ease of use.

The only complaint with this product is the color. It is dark and stains whatever pad you chose to use for application. I use this product with a Orange cutting pad for heavy swirls, light paint correction or a white pad on lightly swirled finishes, Then finish with Mothers PURE Carnuba wax (NEVER USE CLEANER WAX after Finishing Polish).

Works great to get light swirls out and to give that final wet look on paint

Have a classic car, paint had swirl marks in it. Buffed it for about 1 1/2 minutes a section, removed the swirls and holograms and set up for waxing. Very nice product. Not made for really bad paint.

Used this after the Mother’s rubbing compound on a 2005 Lexus GX470 I’ve been “restoring” and the results are stunning! The paint was already in good shape, but now it’s brilliant. Very pleased.
