Great product.
This stuff works very well. I had a small rip in my favorite jacket and thought I would have to get rid of it. This tape worked great and blends right in.

Made my jacket good as new
My black down jacket had a tear in it, which exposed the filling. First I bought the black mini-patches which worked beautifully to repair and hide the tear. I really like the way the whole patch sticks to the fabric without the edges curling up. The same jacket has side straps made of some sort of synthetic material that had begun decomposing over time. The straps looked shabby, with material flaking off. I bought a roll of the Tenacious Tape in black, which I cut into strips to wrap around the straps. The result looks great, as if I got a new jacket. I'm very happy with the quality of this product and the ease of use..

Tenacious… But Not Invincible
The tape comes in a lightweight container—perfect for ounce-counting backpackers. It's easy to use and comes precut to a practical size for most field repairs. I tested it on an old air pad with a slow leak. After locating the hole, I marked it, let the pad dry, applied the tape, and used the back of a metal spoon to press it down and seal it thoroughly. I let it cure overnight, then reinflated the pad. While the leak improved, I noticed a slow leak between two baffles, where I had applied the patch. After spraying soapy water, I found tiny bubbles forming under the edge of the tape. That’s not confidence-inspiring, especially as I prep for a 21-day thru-hike and was counting on this as a go-to field repair item.

Super Sticky and work great
I've used these on everything from boat bimini covers to the inside back of shoes and they've always come through with stellar results. I'm not sure there is anything fabric based that these wont stick to or patch up.

Saved my puffer jacket & son's snow pant!
Saved me $$$$ Worked great for my black nylon puffer and son's snow pant tears at bottom of pants legs due to dragging on the ground because they were a little too long on him. Jacket and snow pants were black. I bought both clear and black tape. Black definitely worked better, looked better overall! Clear was too noticeable and does not meld to the fabric as well, it's a harder plastic like tape, stiffer and more noticeable than the black. I actually used clear first. I thought clear would work better on my black puffer jacket since my jacket is semi glossy but black blended in way better and more fabric like. I took the clear off my jacket, was no problem to remove and put the black tape instead. It's holding up great. I used the clear on my son's snow pant legs and it's cracking a bit and peeling, maybe because I had to fold tape over the edges of the bottom of the pant legs and the bottoms get wet a lot too from snow. I think black would have worked better, the black tape is more flexible, melds better, but wanted to use the clear up since I have it. I'll replace with the black tape eventually. Clear is the best alternative for colored items! But if you have black articles to mend, go with the black all the way!!!! It holds up better, looks better.

Great product for an easy fix
A dog who was very excited to see me tore a small hole in the sleeve of my black puffer coat. I couldn’t tell her off, she’s too cute. A friend who camps a lot and has a ton of camping gear/tents/outdoor clothing told me to get this as he uses it a lot and loves it. Super quick fix, don’t notice it being there and it’s stopped the hole getting bigger. True black colour, blends in well and I didn’t need to cut to size.

For temp use only. All 4 patches came off in Delicate cycle front load washer!!
I was so excited when I read the great reviews for these patches. I inherited a nice North Face jacket that had 4 individual small holes on it, each no bigger than a pencil eraser. I cleaned each area with alcohol before carefully cutting each circle patch to cover the holes. Allowed the alcohol to dry/evaporate completely. The patches are easy to handle, easy to cut, and surprisingly, easy to separate from the paper backing. I placed each on the holes, with considerable margin allowed to make sure it had plenty of adherence to the fabric. Let it sit for a while, then washed the jacket BY ITSELF on the delicate cycle in my front loader using a mild natural liquid detergent. When I removed the jacket from the washer, ALL 4 patches had completely come off in the washer, and there was a fine layer of down on the surface of the drum and glass door. Of course, I was pretty disappointed. I still had to dry the jacket (not good for down to sit wet!), which of course meant more loss of down as I could not patch a wet jacket. The next day I cut and placed the patches again, which was a bummer, but I want to be able to use the jacket at least for now. I'll be looking for a more permanent solution, and something that will last through at least one single washing. I would say these are good for patching in a pinch, to keep down from escaping until you can find a better, long term solution. So keep a patch in your backpack, but something else entirely in your home sewing/repair kit. I hope this is helpful and saves you some time.

Hatte in meinem Zelt ein kleines Loch. Hat mich nicht sonderlich gestört, bis die Ameisen das Loch fanden. Kleber drauf, patch drauf. Top. Bis jetzt hält es alle insekten draussen. Bei Regen bis jetzt auch keine Probleme.

Used one of these mini repair patches to fix a rip in my down puffer jacket. The patch adhered very well to the fabric and the repair looks quite well, all things considered. I did put the down jacket in the dryer on low heat for a few minutes after applying the patch (jacket's care instructions allow it) and reapplied pressure on the patch afterwards. Not sure if that was necessary, but the patch stayed clear and is still attached very well.
