Kind of like Farming Simulator 2013.2 but just as fun and addicting as ever
Farming Simulator 2015 is just as addicting as the 2013 edition was for Xbox 360. It has some pros and cons but all in all it is a very addicting game, which is strange considering it is almost like you are "working" when you are playing. I guess it just appeals to our inner child wanting to play with big machinery and tractors. Graphics: The graphics have improved in some areas but have stayed similar to the previous generation. When you first load your map, you almost think, isn't this Farming Simulator 2013? It really feels very similar. But there are some instantly noticeable improvements. The crop graphics are much more realistic and when you harvest, the crop doesn't just disappear when you drive over it, it actually gets sucked up through the header and looks very real. The tractors get dirty when you drive through your fields after a while and you can buy a power washer to get them clean again. Biggest Gripe: The thing that bothers me most is that the controls aren't 100% the same. Most of the controls are the same but certain ones like your map and menu to reset vehicles are way different. This isn't a huge deal as I will adjust quickly. I suppose they had to do this since they added equipment (like the Ponsse Scorpion King for forestry) that requires new controls of holding LB and RB together and using the joysticks to rotate implements around. Vehicles: Giants have added new vehicles including a whole lineup from New Holland Equipment but have taken away several vehicles that were in the 2013 version including the Lizard semi truck that I used extensively. The only similar vehicle is the Man truck which is a more European version. The driving characteristics feel similar to 2013 but I haven't used very many different vehicles to comment further yet. Logging Many people who have the PC version complain about the new logging aspect of the game to be very buggy and difficult. I can imagine it is difficult using a mouse and keyboard because there are so many controls on the Ponsse equipment. It takes awhile to get used to it on the Xbox One controller but isn't impossible to get down. I really like this new part of the game and it is a great almost cheating way to make money quickly (plant a $7000 Fir tree(s) next to the lumber yard in Westbridge Hills and cut/drag them with the Ponsse Scorpion King to get about $23,000 in return). Summary: I have only played for four hours so far but I can tell it will probably take over my life for awhile. I don't know what it is about this game, but is strangely addicting. It seems to be a little bit buggy and hopefully Giants will release some DLC for the Xbox One like they do for the PC verison. If you liked the 2013 version, you will like this one too. It may just be an updated 2013 but at least they give you a break on price at $49 on release day.

Unexplainably Fun!
Did you ever play a game that was just fun and you can't explain it. That's this game for me. I've now owned it on two platforms and still enjoy playing it. I've played for more than 10 hours in one sitting. If you've ever worked on a farm or just always wanted to then grab this game. There's something relaxing about cultivating a field that defies explanation. And with this game you get to drive some serious hardware. Plus you can have a blast making money that most farmers only dream about. You don't have to break out the grease gun and wipe the dust and debris off every one of those dozens of zirks they put on each piece of equipment. You don't have to do maintenance at all. You just jump on, hook up and go. Through in some tree cutting, chaff for biogas, a couple hundred milk cows and you make more in a day than most farmers make in a year. But hey, it's fun and teaches the basics of what farmers do.

Very detailed and life like
My son really enjoys playing this game. He explained a little to me and it is very detailed and life like. The graphics are incredible and it can actually teach you a lot about what real farming life might be like. It is a cool game. I love the fact you farm and raise animals. Just don't have the time to commit to a full simulator like this anymore. Wish I could because I enjoyed the time that I played it.

Unfortunately Boring
As boring as "Farming Simulator" sounds, let me begin by saying that I purchased this game thinking that I would legitimately enjoy it. I'm a big fan of simulator games, and generally monotony is not a huge issue for me. However, this game is seriously boring. The biggest issue I find is that 8 out of 10 tasks you have to complete are essentially driving back and forth in a straight line for (literally) 20+ minutes at a time. The game has some other issues as well, such as it being incredibly slow paced with no option to speed up or sleep, and the lack of any sound track, so the noises you are hearing most of the time are constant, loud, grumbling tractor noises. I feel like for the sake of realism this game sacrificed a lot of playability. I really really wanted to like this game, but only ended up playing it 3 or 4 times before I found that I just never picked it up again.
