Exact replacement, as expected
Being John Deere Original Equipment, it was of course and exact replacement (for my LA105 purchased at Lowes several years ago). I wish I had taken a picture of how the two springs were positioned BEFORE I had removed the old guard! I'm not completely sure that I got them back in right, but it all seems to work just as it did before.

It works as expected
I've got an older John Deere mower 100 Series and the guard on my mower had dry rotted and gotten broken. This OEM part fit the deck perfectly. Very happy with it.

It did not fit my lawn mower, JD model X300 like it said it would. Now I have to send it back.

Works perfectly.
Fits perfectly and is durable. Could use some directions on how to change it out without springing the retraction spring during disassembly, but I figured it out.
