Blundstone Classic 550 Series, Men's Chelsea Boot

Stunning boots, great quality. Kept my daughter’s feet dry in the Scottish highlands. Well worth the purchase.

Dog walking... amirite? Mud, puddles, trees, sticks, beach, sea, etc... I bought a set of Chelsea boots from "a well known high street retailer" and they came apart after 4 weeks, so time to buy some decent boots. I did my research and looked at the well known manufacturers but they were all pretty expensive then I came across these Blundstones, which I'd never heard of. A bit more research showed that this is an Australian manufacturer going back 100 years and they are designed for hard wearing. Crucially, they were half the price of the rivals I'd been looking at (but still not what you'd consider "cheap"). They arrived in a sturdy set of packaging and initial impressions were very good - bonded sole to the leather uppers (which is where the cheaper predecessor failed). It also came with a booklet giving a potted history of the company, which helps get you bought in to the ideal. Another nice touch is that they came with some additional insoles and another booklet that says "some boots can feel a little big so, if these do, just fit the insoles". I though that was a generous inclusion and I have taken advantage of it. On the topic of size, some reviews suggest that the boots can be a little "generous" for the stated size, and I'd agree. I'm normally a UK 11.5 but could only get size 11, for which I still needed to use the insoles. So I'd recommend getting a size 0.5 to 1.0 less than you normally would. Amazon offered a "try and return" service which helps the confidence. They are comfortable (although like all thick leather products they need a wearing in period) and, after four weeks of everything the dog can throw at them (literally!) they seem to be bearing up! Recommended.

I absolutely love these boots, they're my second pair. Great fit (size 5/38 fit perfectly; I have narrow feet & usually take a size 5.5-6 in trainers; I really like the colour (antique brown); I walk everywhere in them; they're so comfortable; no breaking-in necessary; "well worth the money" & arrived 2 days before expected.

Love these boots. The comfiest ever - much more so than my hiking boots. Hardly taken them off since I got them!

Heed the advice on other reviews and go for a size smaller - I'm a UK size 9 usually and went for the size 8 in these, perfect fit using the included optional insoles. Would buy again. I would give 5 stars if I'd had them longer and could comment on general wear and tear, I've had them 6 weeks and very happy so far.

A good boot but not as good as other Blunstone's i have bought. They always take a little while to wear in but this particular boot seems a little looser and the leather a little harder than previous ones i have bought of a different style, i guess that is reflected in the price , which was about £20 odd cheaper than my last pair which were so comfortable, wore them for everything, day to day and for long walks.

When I was looking at these boots I looked at the photos and saw a pair of brown leather suede boots - however, these are not brown leather suede, these are shiny brown leather and honestly are very different to what they look like in the photos. If you look at the photo with both boots side-by-side you can tell in the photo they are not shiny brown leather. I wasted two weeks waiting for these to be disappointed. + they seem to have marks on the front and back of them.
