Bouncing fun!
I was so happy to have found this item. I was looking for the name brand bouncer, but they are no longer making them. Skeptical at first because the ball came deflated and looked like I couldn't make this work. But after inflating the ball, and adjusting it, it works great! Make sure that the ball is inflated enough for the weight of the person using it. I am a 49 year old female, so I had to inflate it nice and full so the ball wouldn't pop out while bouncing. At first, I didn't inflate it enough and that's what happened. But with more air, it stayed intact and I was bouncing away! These are great just for fun or for exercise value. It does take a little time to learn though! While learning, holding onto something like the stair banister will help. It takes practice to get it right, just getting onboard! Exercising that's fun is the way to go!

Great for balance and get off the xbox!
I was looking for any little items to toss in for Christmas to get my 9 year old off of the xbox! I just added this on as almost an afterthought with the pogo stick I ordered (another great purchase). He loves it and found it a challenge in the begining. Didnt take him long to master it. I think my husband was surprised, because they apparently had similar items when he was young. Great for balance for our "little" tackle football/lacrosse player! As far as value, this is a NO BRAINER. You just need to make sure the correct amount of air is in the ball, or it won't work well.

Hard to know how much air to fill it with.
I guess we filled the ball with too much air because it was impossible for the kids to bounce on it. It is hard to know how much air to fill it with. Unfortunately, the original pogo ball is no longer manufactured. Kids found it difficult to use. Otherwise, it is easy to assemble and ball stayed inflated- no leaks. You will need an air pump with the same attachment you would use to fill a football or soccer ball to fill this platform ball.

Good for smaller kids
This platform ball is fine for small kids (say up to 80 lbs.), not sturdy enough for bigger kids and adults. The toy comes in two pieces and you'll need an air pump and sports ball needle to inflate the rubber ball part. The ball seems to be self-regulating so it won't over-inflate (it releases air until it gets to the right pressure then stops.) I actually bought this for myself, but at 125 lbs. I'm too heavy to use it. The ball is pushed out of the ring after a few bounces. I've tried installing the ball in both directions but that doesn't help. It's just not sturdy enough. For my daughter who is 65 lbs., however, it's great. She loves it! I feel that it should be bouncier, though. Also, after only a couple of playground outings, the plastic platform is quite scratched up. But for the price and the exercise my child gets from it, I would buy it again.

Can't wait to use it more!
The media could not be loaded. I LOVED this when I had one as a kid, and decided to get one figuring it would be fun and great exercise. I chose this one because it seemed to be able to handle adults. I weigh about 130 clothed, and it seems plenty durable. I had to pump it up a bit more after making this video to handle my weight. The platform is reinforced underneath, so it is strong enough to hold me. As you can see, they sent me a red and yellow one when the other pictures show a blue one. It seems durable and the plastic the ball is made from seems pretty thick. I bought a $4 pump at Wal-Mart to blow it up and I was off and bouncing in just a few minutes.

Fun for kids and adults
My kids got this for Christmas and it's a big hit. Took my daughter, 8, about two days to get the hang of it. I had one as a kid and loved it so I couldn't resist trying it out... I figured at the very worst I'm out $20 because I was too big. I was glad to find out that I'm not. The neighbor jumped on when he came over and it held him too! The kids did make fun of me saying the bottom disappears when I jump but we have had no issues with it coming through the board or popping.

I wanted to like it as my daughter is very good at these ...
I wanted to like it as my daughter is very good at these kinds of items (pogo stick, ripstick, skateboard, jumprope), but the ball pops out of the ring every couple of bounces--and the ball was in correctly. We tried adjusting the amount of air in it, but the ring just kept coming off.She is 10 and weighs about 70 pounds so this shouldn't happen based on the reviews and description/question answers. No one around us wanted it after seeing that so I ended up throwing it out, along with the money I paid for it (too late to return it). Big regret on this purchase, what a huge waste. It should be tested properly, then listed with maximum poundage. Ages mean nothing since kids come in all sizes.

Recommend it!
For Christmas I bought my 8 year old a pogo stick and I bought my 10 year old the platform ball. The winner is the platform ball by far! They both love it. Took a few days to master but now my 8 year old is bouncing non stop. Great for balance and coordination.... AND burning all that kid energy. My husband tried i and the platform came off... Definitely better for 110 pounds and less.
