These thumb braces look as if they won't do much, they are quite thin fabric and have no metal inserts. However, they really do make a difference and they are quite discreet. I've bought 2 pairs so I can have one on and one in the wash, but that cost me £68 Lots of money.

I get pain in the base of my thumb (in the joint). If I wear the support for a day or so, the pain pretty much goes away. When it begins to return, repeat. Being doing this successfully for a couple of years now. I keep at least one support as a spare. They are washable too. 4 stars rather than 5 cos they are a bit pricey.

I have to say, I do not know how I would manage without these. I am waiting for a thumb joint replacement and wear splints at night, but they are a pian during the day as you are very restricted with movement, so i mainly wear these. there is slight compression and gentle restriction. They have made a real difference.

I know the product is a good one from past experience and I can certainly recommend it as it does really help with a painful thumb. But as I say this from past experience, as Amazon do not seem to be able to supply the correct sized item. I tried twice with them, but every time a small was supplied. So, I asked for a refund, which when supplied was only a fraction of what I was expecting. As it was their fault I would have expected a refund in full, but I have had to pay for the poor experience of shopping with them. Since then I have now managed to acquire this item and yes it is a good as I said earlier. Therefore, I would recommend it, but not via Amazon as their quality leaves a bit to be desired.

VERY LITTLE SUPPORT.

Soft, comfortable stretchy fabric. Washable. A very useful and much worn item following surgery on my thumb.

Great support, fits well, comes with wash bag, recommended by friend and it’s works
