Bostonian has been in business for over 100 years making very fine men's dress shoes in a variety of styles. Featuring a wide range of top-quality components, Bostonian gives you the options you desire in the quality you demand. Review: Great Dress Shoes - I've wore regular Bostonian's for years. I really like the shoes. When I came across these, which are a "light" version of the regular, I figured I would give them a try especially for the price. These shoes are so light and comfortable I went and purchased a pair in black as well. I were dress shoes all day, everyday and I cannot be happier with these. You will not be disappointed with these shoes. Review: Great shoes. No break-in required. - The shoes arrived a day earlier that expected. I normally don't wear a pair of new shoes right away, but these looked good and, more importantly, felt very comfortable after trying them on initially. It is common for the back of a new shoe to rub the back of my foot on the area just above the heel, forcing me to suffer through a break-in period. I did not experience that type of discomfort with these shoes. These shoes are now in my work shoe rotation.

Great shoes. No break-in required.

Great daily shoes
Purchased the Bardwell Oxford and am very pleased. Not only do they fit well, but I use them daily at work will purchase again! So far they are holding up quite well and walk at least 5 miles a day on them. Great price as well!!

Good quality and comfortable. Not all Bostonian models are the same fit for the same size.
Bought this Bostonian shoe the same size as my previous Bostonian shoe. Usually I wear a 9.5 wide or a 10 medium. Got the 10 Medium and the Bardwell Limit Oxford is slightly narrower than my other Bostonian shoes of the same size. Loosening the shoe strings helps. Still fits well just a little more snug in the middle and is taking a long time to break in (which is both good and bad). After several months of daily wear at work and no visible sign of wear and tear (which is good), which means it is not breaking in to loosen up and fit my foot better (the bad). It does have a flex fit elastic piece at the top which helps. Would suggest trying the pair on at a brick-n-morter store before buying to ensure size fits, as not all models are the same fit for the same size. Good quality shoe and comfortable. It shines well with shoe polish.

EXCELLENT QUALITY SHOES
The shoes is very comfortable. And the sole is super light. I just love the way this shoe performs. I tried wearing it the whole day going about my normal chores. It stood up to my test. Lookig forward to buy another set with a different color. I just hope that the leather would last long.

Spend your hard earned money on one of the other brands of budget men's shoes. These aren't worth it.
I have been shopping for a decent looking pair of brown shoes that I can wear on an occasional basis. I wanted a shoe that was flexible enough to wear with casual clothing or with something a step or two better than casual. I'm retired so I didn't need or want expensive dress shoes. I have a couple of pairs of expensive Allen Edmonds that work fine with suits for those rare occasions when I still feel the need to dress formally. My athetlic shoes work fine with blue jeans. I ran across these Bostonians on sale for less than fifty five dollars and thought they would work well to span the gap between my Allen Edmonds and my athletic shoes. My first impression upon opening the box was that the shoes looked better in the photos than they do in person although the appearance is still acceptable. Upon handling the shoes, I noticed that they felt like they were made out of low quality materials. Things got worse when I put the shoes on and walked around a bit. On the positive side, they fit about like I would expect shoes of this size. On the negative side, the shoes felt even cheaper on my feet than they did in my hands. They simply felt as if they were assembled out of the cheapest possible materials using the cheapest possible assembly methods. They weren't comfortable and I can't imagine that they will last very long. I probably won't return them because it would take more aggravation than the cost of the shoes warrants. I can't even bring myself to recommend these Bostonians for those men who are too poor to be able to afford Allen Edmonds and not lucky enough to get by wearing athletic shoes on a daily basis. I wore many pairs of cheap dress shoes during the first several years that I worked. All of those shoes were better quality and value than these Bostonians. Hush Puppies, Nunn Bush, Dockers, and others were more comfortable, better looking, and better made shoes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of those brands. I can't bring myself to endorse Bostonians. It seems obvious in retrospect that I should have gone out in person to shop for shoes rather than looking online. The sole reason that I gave these two stars rather than one is that they were cheap and not bad looking.

Best walking and business meeting show for wide feet.
Looks good. Comfortable for my wide foot. Very light. The sole lasts for a year+ of heavy city walking. Takes a shone well. I have purchased 3 colors since I like these so much.

Fell apart within first 10 tens of use.
I bought these shoes after being a loyal and longtime user of Bostonian dress shoes. I needed a new pair after 6 years of the Strada pair I previously had. I decided on these instantly as I love the look and feel of Bostonian shoes. However, After ten days of wearing them for work (I walk a lot every day for my job) the right shoe came apart between the leather and the rubber sole (by about three inches). I contacted customer support and they gave me two options...1. to send the shoe in the see if its defected (I would think so as I didn't rock climb or anything like that with the shoes) and this process could take up to 4 weeks. My question is that I need these shoes for work. I cant go 4 weeks without. And 2. they said I could purchase another pair at 50% off.....my other question....why would I want to spend more money on shoes....I just want the pair I bought to be like the numerous others I have purchased from Bostonian over the years....to last forever and look good. I am disappointed.

Realmente si son de cuero, al día de hoy me han sorprendido debido a que la suela es de sintético sin embargo el pie no suda para nada y realmente son cómodos al andar

Good quality and great value on this classic style. Comfortable enough to wear with anything. Perfect fit, too.

Got this pair just this morning ... a day earlier than expected. Here are my out-of-the-box observations: First, that it is so light immediately caught my attention. I thought the Rockport and Ecco oxfords I have are light. This pair is even lighter!!! Second, the shape is classic and pleasing befitting a cap-toe oxford. Third, I am pleased that the leather is not too shiny. By the way, the toe cap is shinier than the rest of the shoe. That breaks the monotony of the black colour and gives the shoes an understated visual highlight. Fourth, I could be wrong but the construction appears to be Blake welting. So it would be interesting to see the life span of this Bostonian. Fifth, there is no noticeable odour emanating from the pair. That is a big plus for me. Sixth, the sole is rubber but is has a rather plasticky feel to it, which makes me apprehensive that it will be slippery especially given the cold and wet winter here in Vancouver, British Columbia. (I will give a feedback on this concern in the future.) This pair was delivered to my office early in the morning. So I had the chance to wear it for nearly 10 hours. That leads me to the rest of my observations: Seventh, they are extremely comfortable requiring practically no break in period. Today, I walked around the office a lot because I was always on the phone. I would have given these oxfords 5 stars in terms of comfort ... except that the topline is rather high compared to my other oxfords. My ankle bones were a wee bit sore at the end of the day. I will need to use a heel insert for now until the pair is completely broken in. Seventh, appearance-wise it is okay with its pleasing elegant lines and shape. I would call it my no-frills pair in terms of styling, which does not call attention to itself like some of my other black pairs. In fact, it flew under the radar. Nobody in the office even noticed that I was wearing a new pair. That is a plus though: it is now time to show off wear my colourful socks that are fermenting in my sock drawer. Lastly, am not being picky but I prefer though if the toes are a tad pointier thus giving this Bostonian a sleeker appearance. Would I recommend this pair? Given the $CDN 35.99 plus shipping of $12.53 I paid for this lovely pair, this is an excellent value! But given the Blake welting, it remains to be seen if the cost per wear will be outstanding.
