No grainy flavor
I have a medical issue that forces me to take calcium carbonate as a binder for phosphorous. I really dislike fruity/chalky/minty taste and texture of various brands, and I think I've tried every single one of them. Every.single.one. These are easy to take, and I don't have to taste them. They make my meals a better. This is a reasonable price for the amount, as well.

Why we love it
I take this as a phosphate binder and am so glad to find an unflavored product

Works great
I like these. Sure, they don't taste great, but that's good. You don't want your stomach to secrete more acid like it would do if you ate something sweet and flavorful. The small size delivers a good amount of acid neutralization to my esophagus where I need it most. I've been using these for over a year and find they work great before bed when combined with Pepsid.

They're like eating black (or green) board chalk; don't work well for me
Everyone else said most of it: unflavored (including sugar, very important for some people), the price is outstanding, BUT...it doesn't work that great for me. I think the lack of filler is actually hampering the effectiveness. Fake Kroger Tums seems to be more effective for me, really weird! Ditto baking soda. After eating 2 I usually resort to some generic Pepcid if not effective, which I happened to buy at the same time. My best guess is that they dissolve like concrete, which they're related to; with nothing to spread it out inside your stomach or just sits there & dissolves VERY slowly. Likewise you can't stir it in water. There's a reason stalactite & hard water are made of this stuff. Flip side, for the same reason they make a good supplement.

The Best Sugar Free Antacid Tablets
What's not to like about these tablets? They are about 1.5 ¢ per tablet vs 6.9¢ per tablet for the other brands and have none of that putrid artificial sugar taste and aftertaste. In fact they have no taste at all. They are about the size of an aspirin tablet and easy to chew up. Some reviewers report a "chalky" taste but I believe that is actually mouthfeel. I don't think our taste buds can taste chalk. I am so glad to have found these since I have to take them after every meal. I would never go back to the flavored ones. Heartily recommend.

Increase my calcium levels
My doctor told me that every time I had bloodwork done in the past 2 years my calcium levels were dropping. So she told me to take supplements. The Spring Valley brand I found at Walmart was extremely hard on my stomach. Didn’t matter if I took it with or without food. Upon telling my doctor of that problem she told me that there were different kinds of calcium and suggested that I try Tums. I bought some, but I don’t like chewing chalk and the thought of having to eat 3 of them a day was depressing. So I searched Amazon for the same type of calcium that is in Tums and found this. I would much rather swallow a pill 3 times a day than chew chalk, so thank you Amazon for carrying this.

Ingredients have changed. Contains acacia and maltodextrin.
This contains maltodextrin which causes dental bacteria to grow in my mouth. It also contains acacia which gives diarrhea. The ingredients are misrepresented in the official product photo. The correct list of ingredients is: acacia, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid.
