L'Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Extreme Style Gel, 5.1 fl; oz.

I liked the feel of this product, consistancy, and how it feels on my hair. It's not heavy, nor does it leave my hair with flakes, or looked caked in hair. It has a nice smell, not too heavy. But, it last throughout my day. It keeps my hair in place, I only use this gel. It deserves the 5 stars. And, I refer it to people I know.

This is by far the best hair gel that I have ever used in my 77 years!!! Use a very little and it holds like nothing else it. It lives up to its name “ LOCK IT”. Even if you mess up your hair just wet your comb or brush, and comb again and it will lock it again!!! Even the next morning!! Just wet your comb or brush. And it will lock it again. It is light and not heavy or greasy. There is one problem with the tube which has round flat top so it can stand in the medicine cabinet so it takes up less space in the cabinet. The flat tube cap snap locks. However, the inner seal at the tube gel outlet does not seal well so the gel leaks into the cap??? When you open the cap, the whole round cap is full of the gel. It is messy and you waste gel. It may be a cap design problem or a quality control manufacturing problem. However, the gel does LOCK IT!!!

I've used this product for awhile, but I just started subscribing to the Amazon delivery service instead of going to my local drug store for it. for under $5, I can't find a better pickup for my needs. It's definitely not the best product out there, and it's slightly annoying that you can't get a larger bottle, but for the price it's quite good. It's definitely not for everyone. If your hair reaches your neck, this is definitely not the best option for you, even for the low price. It's flaky if you use too much and hurts to comb out if you use too much. Since I have shorter hair, it's not the worst experience in the world to comb out. It's definitely not comfortable, but it's worth it for the hold if that's your biggest need. I don't know why they market it towards longer hair in some of the photos, because I can just imagine it being so uncomfortable. But if you know what you're getting into, this is definitely a solid pickup that is worth a month to month subscription.

The hold still remains firm all day.

I ordered this product for my toddler and it works great! The smell is amazing and I have since gotten the hairspray that matches with it. East to apply and wash off at bathtime. The hold definitely lasts even though long days at daycare! I will definitely be buying it again. A quarter size amount is perfect for our needs and the hairspray is just the finishing touch! Absolutely recommend this product!

Now it's $60. Who are the people buying it at this price? 5 stars for the product at the old price point, 1 star (they won't let you give 0) for the current, so averages to 3, I guess. Good stuff if it ever goes back to a cost that isn't utterly insane.

I typically like to stay away from gels, but this stuff works good. It's not too overly sticky. I have naturally curly thick hair, so a lot of us that have curly hair know that we might need a little more extra product ;) With this you don't need that much. It makes it look great with it down curly, or even up in a little bun. I love it, and it works great!

Before trying this gel, I've been using the corresponding spray version from L'Oreal for years. After using this gel for several months, I'm never going back to the spray. This gel smells so much better, it's clearly a different scent. Also the spray used to make breathing difficult and basically burned my nose, because that's what sprays do... This gel holds at least as well as the spray of corresponding strength. I understand gel won't work for everyone, especially longer hair types. But if you have short or medium hair, this gel will work well, smell nice, and not have you inhaling fumes. Wish I had switched sooner.
