Dungeons & Dragons Spellbook Cards: Volo's Guide to Monsters (Monster Cards, D&D Accessory)

I love these things, so useful as a DM, I can pull all the cards I need for my encounters and not need to flip back and forth through books for the stats I need. Though I would be happier to see artwork for all The cards, I understand that GaleForce9 only had license to use the artwork from the books, so if there was no artwork they couldn't use it or would need to obtain artwork and get it approved by WoTC, all of which would drive up the cost. I hope a set will be coming out with materials from Campaign books as well.

My item came in a thin bubble mailer which provided inadequate packaging. Car box was smashed on the corner so all cards had a damaged corner.

I admit, when I first invested in the various spell, monster, and skill cards I did so just because I could. You get it, right? Like when you have 50 sets of chessex dice despite only being able to roll one at a time... After a few sessions, I now find them nearly indispensable. Partly because the source book spell layout, in my opinion, leaves something to be desired, but I am sure I would want to use them either way. Coupled with a mini sleeve-spellbook, it is also more than just functional, it really seems to add something to the gaming experience. My group now has multiple sets!

El cartón de la caja es algo endeble y algunas cartas no traen ilustraciones. Sin embargo, creo que es bastante útil y una buena idea. Sugiero forrar la caja con contact o vinilo adhesivo transparente para conservarla.

My son loves D&D, I played when I was a kid, I wish we had these sort of additions when I used to play. but he enjoys it.

It's so much easier being able to pull cards for reference rather than constantly flipping trough books during a battle

I have 5 sets of D&D cards and this set is my favorite. I buy these cards like the books for the creatures and the creature art work. This set I feel has the coolest creatures and coolest qty of said creatures.

copied straight from the various manuals they even tell you the page numbers, but a great way to show the party what they are facing without giving away the stats all at once
