Not One For The Elderly
Bear with me here. It's a 'Two Birds' sort of situation ..... I originally ~ after much research and deliberation, as is my way ~ bought a " NRS Healthcare Combi-Reacher - 81 cm (32 Inch) Reaching Aid, Grabber Stick & Litter Picker ". July '23. (Reviewed) What drew me to that one was the trigger. It seemed the strongest trigger design and, potentially, most comfortable. K? It proved me right. It Was an absolute pleasure to use. Sadly, being more Older than Wiser, I'm afraid I took liberties with it. It's Not a walking stick, after all. Thus, I could hardly complain when ~ rather conversely ~ finding myself on my knees with that one (*Why* was I on the ground, when I Bought the thing precisely so I *wouldn't have to* do any athletics?!) What ever. I, stupidly and without thinking, put my under ten stone weight on it, from the top. Used it to pull myself up on ~ completely against its manufacturers ideas! ~ and, unsurprisingly, broke a plastic part of its 'jaws' :( My point, in all this, is that these things are mean't for Picking up. Not Getting up. I'd say that goes across the whole board of these devises: Abuse them and loose them. That apart? For picking up stuff, as intended? The NRS is a beauty! If ye not quite as robust any more? That's for you. That and, perhaps, a handy walking stick! This one, however? Different animal. It's brilliant; Absolutely. But, this one Was designed as a Litter Picker. *Not* for the elderly. Especially when the old knuckles are feeling your age. Yeah? Know what I'm saying, fellow OAPs? It's the mechanics, see? Of both this ones design, and our bod's. I can't explain the physics behind it. (Barely explain what day it is, at my age!) But, trust me on this: This one just takes that bit more input from us. Must be a Leverage thing? Up shot is that I find I can pick up slightly Heavier things, with this one. (Dog bowls, eg) But, my knuckles would rather not be doing that all day long with it. That's all. I think it's how We need to 'crush' this handle ~ Our force being equalled by that exerted by the jaws. Where as, the other one? We more Pulled that trigger :) Clear as mud? Every other respect though? This really is a Cracking piece of kit! Can't fault it. Length's good. Materials are great! Workmanship's excellent. Best of all, maybe? British design *and* manufacture! And, I'd say; Manufactured to Professional *Workers* Standards. Don't work, any more, myself. But, these puppies keep me at it! I brought home a six pack of Blu Rolls. Turned my back for two minutes? Think it would've still been strewn around my compound, without I had these to hand! Highly recommended piece of kit

Heavy duty but light to use
The pickers are well made and easy to use. Desipte the robust construction they are light weight. Good grip and easy to keep clean. Ideal for the garden rubbish out of reach! So strong I even used them to pick out of reach fruit from my trees!

a practically perfect (litter) picker in every way!
Have used other litter picker tools before and yes they did not last long. I bought this on the strength of the reviews. It does not disappoint! I know it is a lot more expensive, but I will never need to buy another one again! Such a simple design, very light weight and easy to use. I bought it for my daughter for Duke of Edinburgh volunteering doing litter picking, so it is nice to have the right tool for the job. I like that there is a plastic bit that stops it from opening too wide. The rubber grips on the end are perfect and even pick up glass bottles. It made the littler picking more fun! I can see how these would really help people of limited mobility. I was amazed how light they are. They really are amazingly simple and do the job they are made for. Do not waste your money on lesser picker uppers, it really is a worth while investment!

Does the job
As a tall person, I wanted something long enough so I would not be bent over. This is a well made but fairly light unit that feels like it will outlast me. The 'finger ends' come together nicely so no issues picking smallish items up. They are not too 'springy' so you hands do not get fatigued. It could be improved by putting some kind of 'block' on the bit in the middle that goes around the limbs so that the max finger gap can be adjusted down, but that is a minor things and I will probably just make an adapter for it.

Simple strong and reliable litter picker
After a number of trigger operated litter pickers finally a product simple in design that is sturdy with a lot less chance of breaking .. easy to use, reliable the trade off being a little heavier .. just what I was looking for ..

Good quality
I often litter pick when I walk my dog and have gone through a few that didn’t last the course. This has been worth the extra cost. Still going strong months into purchase. Not heavy but robust.

Excellent litter picker
I had used a `cheap and nasty` litter picker which lasted about 6 uses before being binned. I've being using this product at least weekly for 18 months, litter picking in our neighbourhood and it is still as good as new. Sturdy, lightweight and easy to use. Pessimistically, I bought 2, but the other one is in our garage gathering dust! This really is a good product and is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Habe ich zwar noch nicht erhalten, besitze aber schon die Zange mit geradem Griff. Genial einfach, nichts dran was kaputt gehen kann.
